Canadian Tire - Photomontage
Here's one I did before starting any of your courses Steve -- the large truck I had shot in Fermont Quebec and I went to the local Canadian Tire store and shot the background ( 7 frames to create an HDR image) - I then grunged the composite , only having to shadow the truck and fit it in of course - I also added a more dramatic sky - the manager now has it hanging in his office. Any comments welcome. High Res : http://users.eastlink.ca/~fbwhite/tire-repair.jpg ![]() |

Splendid! A very dramatic montage! The only thing I'd change here is the text - there's something about that downward curve that's a little disconcerting. Two possible solutions: placing the text in two chunks (and an upwards curve is always stronger than a downwards curve); or placing it in perspective on the road surface. Something like this: ![]() (But in the same font you've used). |

Thanks Steve -- I fully agree with your comments -- think I like your left version the best -- besides so does my wife so I definitely won't argue - I am not a typist and fonts and their layout and proper use still gives me a shudder -- although I do have your Art and Design book now. I think I used the downward curve to somewhat follow the curve of the meridian just above it Frank I still have the PSD of course so I think I'll change it . The store owner also liked the image. |
