Help with Logo
Hello. I have been asked to help a friend design a logo for their sports club. It will go on the website, letterheads and T-shirts. The club helps 2-18 year olds and disabled kids get into sports , mainly football. They want to use the 2 colors (this Green and Black) only (to keep printing costs down). I have a few rough ideas, nothing that I think is quite "there" yet. When I settle on an idea I will recreate it all in vector form. Maybe you guys with your expert knowledge could offer me some advice, maybe tell me what works/ doesn't work and offer any help and ideas! Thanks. The first image is the ideas from the client (club owner). ![]() |

Re: Help with Logo
Well done with these! Creating logos is a special kind of art. From the top collection, I like the first one the best. It's the cleanest and the outline of a person makes it warmer than the others. The arc also provides a nice touch of movement. The second one in the bottom collection is the best of that lot, though it is a bit stark. |

Re: Help with Logo
Thank you calasade. Should I use the soccer player silhouette, or an abstract figure (similar to the last image). Also I'm not sure about the color, should it be a different green to attract kids. Thanks |

Re: Help with Logo
I like the color and would use the silhouette because the abstract figure makes the logo seem more impersonal. |

Re: Help with Logo
Now they have decided that they want something like this: I'm not entirely convinced. Any thoughts anybody? thanks. ![]() |

I think they need to be talked out of that one! |

Re: Help with Logo
I'm with Steve: they should be talked out of that. Clients can get the craziest of ideas. |

Re: Help with Logo
My thoughts exactly! So anyway I went for a more extreme grungy approach.. which I think looks okay on Tshirts, remember this is aimed at kids and teens. But They don't like that either, so back to the drawing board.. ![]() |

Re: Help with Logo
Try combining the target they like with your larger football. I like the choice of typewriter font and the rough aspect, which seems to work well. |

Re: Help with Logo
I'd make the football still bigger, but that's a good compromise. |
