I know what you mean - industrial looking beasts, those G5s.

Not even the glimmer of a sheen or reflection on the tiles?

No, the owners went for rough hewn flagstone tiles, something to do with the artist not knowing where the reflection would fall....errrrrm

OK, I give up - I tried to work out the reflections but nothing I did seemed to look right.

A copy of the PSD (smaller version (500x507)) is here. I suppose this should now move to image doctor

Re: One slice or two?
The reason the reflections were so hard is because you were viewing the wall straight on, with the Mac at an angle. Doesn't take a lot of fiddling to switch that around, so the Mac is straight and the wall's at a slight angle - so it's then just a case of translating the Mac's reflection straight back through the wall. Oh, and of adding a bit of room behind.

Yes, of course it's a cheat. What else would you expect?

Aah, that's where I was going wrong, I must stop thinking in such a linear way!

It's amazing how much that adds to the scene.

Thanks Steve.

Great job to begin with Trinity, but what an improvement those reflections make after adding perspective to the tiles. Well done Steve

Thanks Maiden.

I've reworked it now.

Thanks again Steve - I'll have to keep the old saying running around my head..."If the mountain won't move to Mohammed, etc."

Much better. but, for the sake of comprehension for people visiting this thread, could you put the original back at the top and post your new one at the end?
