Dig me a hole!
Gruesome I know ... but for the main part I use photoshop to beautify or enhance photographs to make them more appealing (well at least that's the plan) ... this was an exercise exploring the opposite direction ... comments welcomed No photoshoppers were harmed in the making of this pic   |

That's just plain nasty! Escher meets Sweeney Todd? 
The shadows on the right need extending and there should be shadows on the hands from the blades. Great concept, though! _________________ A happy-go-lucky chap, always dressed in black |

A message to David : Thanks for the comments ... I hadn't anticipated this pic being so big (oops!) .... I am happy for you to delete this thread while I go work on the image (I know bandwidth is precious) .. I'll re-post when I'm done if that's ok? |

I've extended the shadows on the hands and added some shadows to the blades ... they're pretty subtle this time a round but I think they add a little more depth to the picture?  |

Much better. But I feel four hands is twice as many as you need. Wouldn't it work better with two hands cutting each other, Escher-style?  |

Cheers Steve, Thanks for the feedback .. Liked your 'Escher-sketch' idea LOL I did actually think about using just two hands but the original idea for the picture was to use lots of hands, the 'same' hands in fact, to illustrate the idea that factory type production de-sensitises us to the way that meat is mass produced ... I'm not even vegetarian ... so where this idea came from I don't know? ... but it was an idea and didn't have any others at the time so I just went with it .... 
I'm not really sure I got my idea across? ... maybe I should have given the hands a black and white pattern to look like cow skin? Eek!!! ... Now I'm scaring myself!!! (note to self - don't think out loud in forums .. people will think you're weird)
