Photoshop painted drawing of mine
I spent quite a few hours photoshopping this drawing of mine (yeah I know that my drawing skills aren't that great.)

Original Sketch:

Fantastic work. Curious, though - why did you start with a pencil sketch, rather than drawing the face directly in Photoshop? Wouldn't this have been easier?

Excellent shading, creat skin and hair!

Well, I just did it randomly, though I am pretty sure many pencil drawings or renders are colored using Photoshop. It was a drawing I made a few years ago, and just wanted to see what life photoshop could bring to it. I would draw directly in Photoshop, but I don't have a graphic pad.

Don't have a tablet, eh? You really should get one - especially for this kind of work!

Atomic,

Don't know if you're an eBay type of guy, but I just found my tablet for sale at 25$. I have a 5 years old, 4 X 5 model (ET-0405-U) and it still works great. If I could, I would change for a slightly bigger one, 6X8 or even 9X12 maybe.

I like ebay, but currently a tablet isn't my top priority right now as much as I do want one. I would have to quite a bit of research before I bought one as well; my friend has one and I hate it because it isn't sensitive enough among other reasons. I would have to make sure my investment payed off, but I do plan on getting one sometime in the somewhat near future.
