Whats wrong with this image?
This image was on the front page of the daily newspaper today. Immediately, it seemed wrong to me and on closer examination it seems that Mr Howard has been cut and pasted onto the background. I showed a few people and they didnt think it was. I was just wondering, if anyone on here, can notice that he wasnt photographed at the same time the background was. Anna

I agree that it doesn't look real. For a start there appears to be a slight shadow in front of his upper body and head against the sky (which is not possible?) and no shadows around his feet onto the pavement. The bollards, however, clearly show a central light reflection, therefore there ought to be shadows behind him onto the pavement and grass. There also seems to be a highlight on the back on his right leg which does fit. His edges also appear to be a bit too crisp against the background. I think a fake. |

Definitely looks like a fake to me. Shocking! Can't we trust photographs any more? |

It's not necessarily a fake. It was almost certainly taken with a flashgun which can produce some bizarre effects, especially if the subject is moving. The shadows seemingly against the background could also be due to the flash sync settings, it can cause a kind of motion blur almost like a double-exposure. _________________ It must be Thursday, I never could get the hang of Thursdays |

Thank you everyone for your input. I guess either way, whether its real or photoshopped..its a poor image
