That is great Stefan, I saw the originals on the net, was going to use them then saw your image, so changed my mind! Can I ask how you did the background, it is a lovely effect. |

Thanks Pierre..very kind of you. Hi Deborah, The background is very simply nicking a Grant Wood painting, then make a duplicate layer, run the median filter on it( play with the settings), add a black adjustment layer and paint with a white brush at different opacities till you get your desired look. Then play around with curves and hue saturation adjustment layers. To change the light I alt(option) click on the new layer icon and in the dialog box set the blending mode to overlay and check "fill with overlay neutral color". You can then paint light in with a white brush or make things darker with a black one. But there's other ways of doing that of course without having that overlay effect, but I just like it this way. To end it all add a soft focus filter effect. And that's that ![]() |
