Redbellied Woodpecker
Recent snow has brought guests to the birdfeeders. My bird book identifies this one as a redbellied woodpecker.

Great image Marty.

Do you have an elaborate hide to capture these wonderful shots?

While you were skulking behind your dining room curtains, Marty, I was in Marrakesh - where I came across a real dentist...

Ha ha ha ha ha

I think you should frame this one and hang it on your surgery wall, Marty!

Re: Redbellied Woodpecker
I live in a suburban area. I have just hung up some birdfeeders to attract the birds and to be able to pursue my passion of photography with a bit of photoshop thrown in.

I love your bird shots, especially the lighting of the chickadee. The cardinal too is great to see, my birth state bird! Thanks for sharing them.

Re: Redbellied Woodpecker
I'm always jealous of Marty's beautiful birds. I finally got close enough to one. This duck was in a middle of a soccer field, where heaps of people had walked that day. Made me wonder if she was sitting on a nest. I certainly hope not.
