Thank You Everyone.
Just want to say thank you to everyone on this forum and particularly a huge thank you to Steve. Made many amazing friends. Its been so much fun and so educational but the time has come to move on. Take care all. Regards Anna

As someone who has spent the majority of my time in Photoshop and ImageReady I would say that looping gifs is not essential in any, way, shape of form - nor is it necessary to fade-out or fade-in animation especially if your concerned about file size then having Fades on a gif animation pushes the filesize up tremendously. If we take the example of doing a small movie clip let's say in After Effects then looping makes no sense as the sequence is sequential and does not restart from the intial position nor is it necessary to fade out a sequence. Anna your animations don't loop but that's because they tell a story sequentially as I explained previously and fading out doesn't make any real sense as it adds nothing to the animation other than extra kilobytes. Here are some example of my work using After Effects http://www.vimeo.com/2925254 Sudden abrupt endings? Well does that distract from the story? Well not in my opinion. Anna please please stay I am always impressed by your animation and in every one there has always been a great deal of work involved and as chiefly someone who animes I know how much work and thought is put into an animation. |

Anna, I am going to practice catching a fly with a chopstick (mind you not many flies in the UK at the moment). And until I have accomplished that I would prefer it if you remained on the forum. I always enjoy seeing your work, I realise the massive amount you have to do, you have a great sense of humour and imagination. I for one would be very sad to see you leave. |

Don't leave us, you have given us so many laughs, and encouraged me to try a few more animations. Knowing how long they take, I don't know how you manage a new one each week, and always original. I always look forward to see what you have come up with. Come on, how could you possibly resist this weeks challenge. It looks really hard. If you look through the Challenges I think you will find so many wonderful comments on your work, don't deprive us of more laughs. _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

Anna, can I add my plea for you to reconsider and stay with the forum? Your animations are loopy enough for me! Ironically, I think your grasshopper gif is probably your funniest yet, and a perfect reply. (I just hope it's not your swansong!) |
