A little post processing
My church emailed me a group image of the youth that they wanted on the website. Was a quick edit, but I'm not sure if I went too far with the effect. I really wanted the kids to sort of pop out of the frame and blur out the background a bit to make the image look more professional....

The high res version looks far better, I think. I just didn't want to upload a "candid" shot on their website.

chris I like the frame ect but the colors look a little too subdued to me

Thank you, Steve. The photos in the Children's Ministry and a couple other areas are in b/w. I didn't want to lose all the colors completely, so I did drop the saturation a bit...

The effect looks overdone to me. It's the sort of result you try to avoid when post processing.

It looks like either too much High Pass or you used the "reverse" settings to USM or something.

It certainly looks better though with the BG out of focus.
