Photorealism 1 - noticeboard
Last night when we all met up after Steve's talk at Foyles, I remember photorealism being mentioned. Here are a couple of things I did on a course back in Feb 2006 run by Janee from the US of A. The 6-week course had a kind of VLE setup (virtual learning environment). Some of it was really hard to do. Looking at some of the things now, I can see some glaring mistakes but thought it might be fun to post them anyway. The noticeboard was made from scratch. Other bits on there were taken from this and previous courses.  |

Photorealism 2 - mobile phone
I know this isn't brilliant looking but it was definitely pushing the boundaries of my photoshop knowledge then (and probably now). The only thing that perhaps is not strictly photorealistic is that I used the texture filter and inserted a photo of an embroidered table cloth to replicate one that I had. Otherwise everything is drawn from scratch.  |

I like that noticeboard Sophie, especially the crumpled picture. 
And I like that sort of mother of pearl look on the phone, it sure looks nicer than the gun metal grey plastic crap that I have on mine!  |
