74 Squadron Hunter F6
No. 74 'Tiger' Squadron RAF was equipped with the Hunter F6 at Horsham St Faith and Coltishall between November 1957 and November 1960 before converting to the Lightning fighter. Created with Cinema 4D, Body Paint, Photoshop and Poser. ![]() _________________ Why isn't 'phonetic' spelled the way it sounds? |

Another brilliant job Gordon! How long would something like this take you to complete from scratch? _________________ Mark Goodwin If you do what you have always done, you'll get what you've always got! |

Superb Gordon. My only comment would be that on a sunny day the top of the plane may be lighter? Nick |

Re: 74 Squadron Hunter F6
Thank you for the comments Mark and Nick et vous aussi Veronique. Mark, to set up the model takes around 4 or 5 days starting with laying out the 3 view drawings and the fuselage sections. Then you move on to pushing pixels around until they look like the model. That can be a couple of days' work depending on the complexity of the model. After that its into Body Paint to lay out the painting co-ordinates for import into Photoshop. The painting and texturing is what takes up the time. Nick. Yes I know what you mean but if you make it too light it doesn't look right. When I photographed camouflaged aircraft in the air it was always a problem to get the details of the aircraft visible but not so light it looked unreal. After all camouflage is supposed to be unobtrusive. This image is a re-render of the same model in No 4 Flying Training School marks at RAF Valley on Anglesey. ![]() _________________ Why is there only one body to investigate Monopolies ? |

Amazing - and I don't use that word very often. You talk about making it look real - I wonder whether desaturating the model slightly may make it look more a part of its background? Just a thought. Well done. Chris |
