Audio Cassette Tape - Case, Lables, Insert
When I first saw Sjef image of the cassette tape, I got inspired to create one. The challenge for me is to make this semi-transparent. This project started out with the cassette tape only. Then I decided to make the case for it. There is a lot of detail that went into this. So I hope you all like this. By the way, all created from scratch and also using Photoshop 6.0. ![]() |

My cassette was rather nice and that was all. Seeing your work, the details, the transparency, the cropped framework and even the perspective in this graphic... My congratulations with this project. It's Sparkling, it's amazing, it's magnificent! One little criticism, there seems something strange with the cassette's shadow against the insert sleve. Those kind of things attracs extra attention on such great quality. I take it you used Photoshop CS6, or was it really version 6.0? |

Beautiful. A fine and detailed piece of work. But Sjef's right about the shadow on the sleeve: there's a fold in the sleeve beneath the cassette, which means the shadow should bend where it meets the fold (and does it also lift the cassette further off the surface?). And should the shadow really be all round the cassette like that? Once again, as Sjef says, these kind of things attract extra attention on such great quality work. |

Thank you all for your nice comments. Sjef, Steve, I see your point about the shadows. At first, I did not want to make the insert sleeve to bend, but changed my mind later. I guess I forgot about the shadows. Sjef, I used the old version of Photoshop 6.0. I normally work with Photoshop 7 but accidentally opened PS 6 instead. |

Luis, Maybe like you I can't say goodbye to my beloved PS6, but I got troubles with the restrictions of memory that 6.0 can handle. Version 6 is in my mind a real basic Photoshop with almost all the necessary tools available. Sometimes I still use the 'old faithfull'. But those new features in the upgrades (and the 64 bits environment) did make things a lot easier and timesaving. That's why I value your work on the cassette even more. |
