What an extraordinary body of work Steve. They are technically close to immaculate. Hair seems to be the trickiest part, just as it is with 3D models.

What I find strange is that some look just marvellous and really come to life and some, although technically just as accomplished, belong in Madame Tussauds.

I can't for the life of me work out why some work so beautifully and others remain somehow inanimate. Are you somehow managing, albeit unintentionally, to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the original sculptures?

Fascinating and beautifully done.

Looking at these again three really stand out for me. I find Napoleon and Caesar both incredibly lifelike and Franklin is, for me, nothing short of amazing!!

The craggier they are, the better they look, I think.

Yes. When the skin is smooth it acquires a slighty waxy look.

I still find them astonishing. I wouldn't like to attempt it!!

That's brilliant Steve. You even put blush on his cheeks and made the tip of his nose red.

Lovely work, Steve. I have bookmarked your techniques for creating beards and metal for future reference.
