Challenge 314: Crop Circles
(On behalf of Steve)

I photographed this field of corn - well, actually it's barley - a couple of weeks ago, just before it was due to be harvested.

We've all seen crop circles photographed from the air - intricate designs that look as if they've been drawn by an alien intelligence. But how would they look seen from such a low angle? Would we get much sense of their shape from this viewpoint?

High res is here.

Re: Challenge 314: Crop Circles
Phew, back from cycling in France. Sorry could not contribute and see your entries there.
Saw many wheat (corn) fields being harvested while cycling there. Busy, busy farmers' machines: cycle, cycling all 11,000 of us around Verdun routes and 3 to/from Eurostar ...

Anyway, quick try with this one for this weeks FC. I'm a bit rusty on PS..

Wiltshire, ... know it very well ...

Oops guess I should fix the sky ... later

Re: Challenge 314: Crop Circles
I'm amazed at how many different perspectives are illustrated with this one image

Re: Challenge 314: Crop Circles
Great entries all.

Interesting point Bruce. I think the landscape is undulating so maybe we can have different perspectives

Great quantum field Bruce. I would have maybe put Dirac in there, ..well Einstein was not the best fan of quantum mechanics, but Dirac (with others) seemed to combine his special relativity with quantum mechanics i.e. with the quantum field theory, so its all ok(ish). Dirac "the Strangest Man".

Love the alien night circles Anna

You're probably right Trevor, but I was forcing my perspective to the limit, so that even the iconic Einstein image was approaching unrecognizability.
Besides, who knows what Dirac looks like? I know I wouldn't be able to pick him out of a police lineup.

Agree, perfect Bruce. I'm just stuck, as in months, on his book.
