Challenge 468: To the lighthouse
The port of La Rochelle in Western France is a beautiful town, full of interesting buildings and fortifications. I was particularly taken with this view of a lighthouse, a short distance from the water - and found it amusing that it had been placed the opposite side of the road from the port. Can you find a more appropriate location for this building? High res is here.  |

Looks good to me Ahmed and you have certainly got a lot of dynamic atmospherics there. Great. In some ways reminds me of Fastnet off SW coast of Ireland in the Atlantic, but you have gone more moody perhaps(?). (I gave an FC contribution) |

Thank you dear Trevor for your nice review , a few weeks ago I watched a nice documentary about bell rock lighthouse using it as inspiration , I needed all that darkness and waves to hide a lot of seals standing on that rock. |

After bidding war to design the new La Rochelle Lighthouse the runner up decides to build his design on the opposite side of the road. This was the trial run before judges decide on a winner. With the exception of the La Rochelle Lighthouse these are all UK lighthouses taken by me whilst on my travels…can anyone name them or there location?

I think I recognize that first lighthouse Michael Sinclair. I stayed in the Best Western Hotel opposite for about 5 weeks in March/April. Very cold and wet but didn’t manage to capture a shot like that (very nice), Just the one you see in my entry. And your starter for 10 point, the location is…? |
