Challenge 864: Storming the embassy
The United States embassy in London is directly opposite Embassy Gardens, the scene of last week's Challenge.

It's a curious building: a perfect cube, covered on three sides by bizarre sails that, I'm told, are to baffle directional laser microphones. It reminds me more than anything of the Borg ship in Star Trek.

The fourth side, though, has no such decoration. Instead, they've built a moat. Seriously. At least that's what it looks like.

Armed with only your trebuchets, halberds and ballistas, how would you set about laying siege to such a building?

High res is here.

Good morning Steve et al. I am returned from my invasion of Scotland whereupon I did battle with the midges and am now strengthened to lay siege on the New World Embassy and any trumpists therein.

Just one thing - there doth not appeareth a link to thy Borg Ship imagery.

Steve, your Borg Ship link doesn't work.

Helicopter siege... barely "on brief". Sorry, no medieval weaponry. This just became an exercise in helicopter reflections. The pigeon was added to experiment with adjustments to it's flight path.

Strangely, to my eye, it has an oddly dated look. Reminiscent of 60's modernist.

Forget all that mucking about with ballistas - just concrete over the moat - job done

Love the ripples Lloyd, the helicopter and the fireworks and reflections.
Lovely video clip Anna. Well done.
Clever idea Josephine.

I'm not in the mood for war. I'm going fishing.

Re: Challenge 864: Trump Upsets the Chinese
Fun and very different entries this week.

Watched by Swan and Flying Snow and backed by the Archers of Qin, Nameless and Sky take on the American Embassy. Trump beware!

If you haven't seen Yimou Zhang's strangely beautiful movie "Hero" then you are missing out!

I think I definitely owe an apology for this misuse and abuse.

Gordon, I just love your video. In my entry (not quite ready) I too have got rid of the embassy.

Anna, I found your entry very amusing

PART ONE The American embassy has been relocated somewhere on the coast. I again apologise for using my "trademark crater".
