Challenge 901: The Taming of the Shrew
I spotted this little Jumping Shrew in the splendid Horniman Museum a few weeks ago. Much as I admire his platform heels, I'd love to see him jump. High res is here. |

Having real difficulty getting motivated by this one. So silliness. Hopefully think of something later in the week. ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 901: The Taming of the Shrew
Now that's really jumping. By the way I just discovered, after my gnome entry, that these things are tiny! 5 - 10 cms (2" - 4") typically. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Tiny indeed. My idea to use an elephant stemmed from this: "Researchers have noted that the elephant shrew shares much of its genetic material with elephants." |

Re: Challenge 901: The Taming of the Shrew
i really don't know how I got from the starting image to this video but I suppose that my outrage got the better of me. Something a little more serious than I normally do. The shrew might be tiny but it can give a very nasty bite if provoked. I hope nobody is offended by this video, apart from Putin of course. http://vimeo.com/695191055 _________________ ![]() |

Re: Challenge 901: The Taming of the Shrew
Gordon, as Josephine has written it is "very stirring stuff". I was riveted by the subject and clarity of your animation, but burst out laughing when, suddenly, and totally off-message, this stuffed shrew jumped up and started bouncing around... |

Dennis, a beautifully atmospheric background. Not sure about the ghostly cat and the flying shrew!

Loyd
David yet again very natural looking--I like it!
Gordon I like the theme, but that tank needs a shadow underneath it. Yer got my email address, so I would appreciate those animated flames...please.
Dennis the cat and the rat thingy do nothing for an otherwise beautifully highly detailed and textured scene. I think we would all like to see more of this quality work from you .
My entry comes in three parts: Part1, Part2 and part3 (parts 1,and 2 are animations and part 3 is static), Ukrainian commander Victor Shrewkovsky makes his debut in Part 2 A three framer and two framer respectively.
