Didn't think I'd finish this in time but I ended up just going at it for about 2 hours straight.

Re: Contest 218: Rail conversion
Hey guys this is my first post (obviously)

first let me apologise for intruding but i couldn't find somewhere dedicated to intros, and i thought that seeing as how this thread is what led me to the forums that I should introduce myself here.

My name is Jay and I have found this site whilst rummaging around for ideas on how to build my online portfolio and to be honest I just couldn't resist your friday challenges.

I discovered you through katew's blog site after going through all of her challenge submissions.. (good work on all of them kate)

I am just pleased to have somewhere to post my work and get feedback.

With a bit of luck I will get an entry in to this challenge ASAP, if not then this friday I will for sure.

I will also try and get some other work related submissions on here when i can (in the relevant threads of course)

look forward to becoming part of this community and to getting to know some other entusiasts

Hi James, you are getting pretty good at those animations. That looks great.

Kate, I like you entry. Kind of makes me think of Gypsies traveling on the water.

Maiden, how do you get that stretch limo boat around the corners? Looks like a great party boat.

Re: Contest 218: Rail conversion
OK so the train track became a river more than a canal... but it's also '500 years after people'

I was going to do something romantic until Anna reminded me of all the canal photos I had from St. Petersburg.

I seem to be the only one who found this challenge difficult...
Steve you git, I told you I hate perspective so no nagging about the boat, savvy?

Thanks Dave. Praise from a master, can’t be bad.

Thanks srowden.

James you're so generous with your positive comments about my work, so thanks (the trick is to find the pic that does the trick). One day I'll discover how you're able to make your animate objects move so smoothly, such as your cute entry this week, as mine tend to jerk..
