Can someone help me out? I guess I'm an idiot but I can't seem to post my banner. I'm using photobucket as the hosting site (it works for all the other forums I go to) but when I check the "preview" function here all that shows up is the link...not the picture. What am I doing wrong? Thanks. |

are you adding image tags? use [ img ] then put the link then close it with [ /img ] but without the gaps  |

Yeah, thanks. I finally got the banner to show up in the "preview" but it shows up a lot smaller than it should...to the point that it's unreadable. I made it 750 x 150 pixels...I give up for now. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.  |

I found this a difficult challenge - I think it was the combination of a tight size (and font) specification on an otherwise completely open brief - the worst of both worlds for me 
Never mind after a few false starts I have come up with this - not terribly original and I hope Steve doesn't mind the liberties I have taken with his fizzog ( fizzog = physiognomy = face), but it seemed to work within the constraints of the format which is more than can be said for my earlier more creative efforts All constructive criricism welcomed btw   _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

Stefan I like yours VERY much - and Paul I approve your simplicity - I originally was going to go for a similar image but when I saw yours I did not feel I could improve upon it ! _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

*edited to say* My original banner had text on the sides but since it shows up so small on this page you couldn't make out what the text said but I'm gonna post it anyway just for the heck of it.....

Thanks for the welcome Nick Curtain & Cl&m&nt, I’ve only just recently got how to cheat in Photoshop, if only I had discovered it sooner, the possibilities are endless, I’ve got loads to learn, the Friday challenge is a great idea, hopefully I will be able to develop my skills as the weeks go by.
