Here is a real cheat, I used Portrait Professional for the face sculpture and skin, only did a little bit of liquefy filter on the jaw, and the hair in Photoshop.

I don't know if it's just me, but I think his eyes are a little small in the original photo due to the thickness of his glasses.
I went out on a limb and made them a little bigger.
I think they are a more proportionate to his head.

Yeah I agree, I'm in the middle of doing mine, I can't settle on the right size to suit the proportions of his head.

If you look in his glasses you can see the left side of his head is smaller.

It is true that the eyes are a bit small, very good point steve mac, but be careful not to make too still! Good work!
But I did not understand why there is a brown stain on the hair of your image?

It must be my monitor, but I don't know what you mean by brown stain.
I'm not seeing it. I really didn't do anything to the hair.

If you are refering to the bit on the left of his hair line, I think that is on the original.

Its true about the eyes - I did make mine bigger but with the benefit of hindsight I should have made his right one slightly larger
