Nick that is so realistic that I must ask the question as to whether it's a real egg. The imperceptable slightly darker shade (on the correct side) of the translucent egg-white, the highlights on the exposed egg-white, and the reflective gloss on the highlights of the yolk itself make it too real; if it is then you have raised the bar for me.

Michael

Thanks Michael
I'm no artist, so have to resort to photos I'm afraid. Well, it is HTCIP after all. The holder and the base of the egg are the originals, but the white / yoke are borrowed from another image. I suppose there is credibility to be gained by using the right donor image though. I have to mention one very important fact and that is the blend between old and new shells was achieved using layer masks - ouch!

Photoshop was just a pipe dream for me five years ago!

"Late for Breakfast"

Alas, I expect it's a bit late to partake of this meal. The setting has become somewhat dusty, musty, tarnished and grungy. All organic material has long since vanished, consumed by the bugs, now the only inhabitants...

I've been in wedding photography mode this weekend, so nothing adventurous from me I'm afraid, but great work so far from all. Neil, the crack in the cup is really good, realistic work from Gordon, delightful from Emma, Anna great animation as always and Bruce - love it! Good to see you back BB.

Nick

Thanks, katew. This was a fun project. My other thought was a birthday egg with 5 candles.

Hello everyone. I haven't posted for a while so I decided to get back into these challenges. Excellent work so far.

Here is my picture. The egg and the fabric under the egg cup are created from scratch.
