I'm not sure about this. Its more a Tardis, or prefer a Stairway to Heaven(?). She is a witness. Sorry about the quality. A metaphor too. (My later comments did not help ![]() ![]() |

That's funny Emil. But what/who is "Tomasz", I think I might know but I do not follow soccer/football. And sorry my Czech poor. |

Sutex's real name is "Tomasz". At least he has it in his personal information. _________________ For me the creative process is more one of discovery than creation. - James Lee Burke |

Re: Challenge 334: Phone box filling
Writing the first part of this in an airport lounge in Denver, en route to London via Chicago... still jet lagged so excuse the typing errors! ... Just got home, finishing off before I drop off. Sorry it's late. A seriously packed phone box from brewell, with an intricate intertwining of body parts - a great selection of contestants. I think a slight reflection in the glass would have helped here, but generally a strong (if rather uncomfortable) image. There still seems to be plenty of room in Vibeke's montage, but those who appear in the boxes do look as if they're really occupying the space. The shadows of the metal bars is a great touch, neatly matching the angle of the shadow behind the boxes. Again, some glass reflection would be a help here. Most amused by Daniel's Poser construction, particularly the three guys on the right practising their stacking manoueuvres. And that's a cool T-shirt on the left! The man with the dog, cat and eagle may be pushing his luck, though. And great to see them all (or mostly) packed into the second entry . Some clever packing from puffin31939, and I appreciate the glass work. Good thickness to the opened door, and the cracked glass and Out of Order sign are good additions. And a very fine shadow on the dog! I hadn't come across Gustav Vigeland's work before, so thanks to Jota120 for bringing it to my attention - amazing sculpture! I really like the way it's twining around the outside of the phone box, and the fact that the shading on the statue matches the shadows in the background scene so accurately. As always with your metaphors, Trevor, I have some difficulty interpreting them... but the second entry certainly has a lot going on! There's a great bulge to lunah's second phone box, the one with the horse inside - and is that a nun in the first box? Good work! A fantastic image from LonnieK, whose phone box packing has apparently failed on a spectacular level. Where on earth did you find this image? Perfect! Great packing from tooquilos, and the hint of reflection is all it takes to make the window glass into a real medium. The animated version XXXXXXXXX Very clever work from bjansen, with the phone box disgorging Star Wars stormtroopers. The Walker is an excellent addition, fitting neatly into the scene. Watch your eyelines, though: the stormtrooper on the far left appears to be floating in the air. My other problem here is that the shadows of the Star Wars characters are in the opposite direction to the lighting on the phone box... a small point, but worth watching out for. Ingenious work from sutex, who has turned the phone box into a train of London buses. There's enough colour variation here to make them all look like separate vehicles, as well as an articulated bus right at the bottom. The shadows are an essential addition here, helping to ground the buses: but do make sure they follow the strong shadow angle as defined by the shadow of Nelson's column. Otherwise, a perfect image. A host of characters from thefullmontage and, I think, photos.com from Garfield72 - and the added rain certainly makes it feel much more like London! I like the added umbrella hat to the tourist guy, a really nice touch - as is the curly phone cable snaking back into the phone box. Good work! Shadows and reflections aplenty from Deborah Morley - and very nice they are too! On the shadow issue, it would be great if they could bend over the contours of the people inside the phone box... but maybe you've just had enough of it. The girl with the iPhone is a nice addition. Phone boxes have long been used as a repository for advertising cards from ladies of easy virtue, as they used to be called, and emanuelefrau has taken that one step further by populating his phone boxes with a host of luscious lovelies (to use an appropriately tabloid term). Great reflections and shadows - a really strong piece of work, with loads of added detail - the poster in the window, the strut holding the door, the renamed Hot-Phone, and the guy in the background. Excellent! I like Emil's idea of filling the phone box with a Sumo wrestler... I think that's crammed full already! Great curving of the shadows, Emil, that's highly realistic. All of Sophie's phonebox crammers seem quite happy to be in there - and it looks as if there's room for a few more. THe man on the left (inside the box) seems to be missing a full arm... and some shadows would really help these people! |

Re: Challenge 334: Phone box filling
Thanks Steve. One of the hardest parts of this challenge for me was finding suitable bunches of people to put in there. I'm full of admiration for those who managed it. Ah yes! The shadows inside, tried and failed. |
