"Stunning image of smallest possible five-ringed structure". ( Jota just added a bit of colour)

"Olympicene radical AFM Laplace filtered. The black bar corresponds to 0.5 nm. Credit: IBM Research - Zurich, University of Warwick, Royal Society of Chemistry Scientists have created and imaged the smallest possible five-ringed structure – about 100,000 times thinner than a human hair – and you'll probably recognize its shape.

I feel like a bit of a dork now, oh well, there is always art , but err 0.5nm very small, see reference. I doubt IOC can see that

I guess no more from me this week. I'm refreshed to be able to get entries in before closing Thursday night! Look fwd to your later entries folks when you can

Re: Challenge 413: That sporting event
Brilliant entries everyone. Nick I love yours and I also think Linda's is fantastic with the hat, specs and jacket.

I was at the Equestrian events on Sunday & Monday for the dressage and cross-country. Everything about it was completely brilliant from the hundreds of welcoming and helping volunteers on the station platforms and roads around the venue to the beautifully designed jumps, great competitors and cheering crowds. Some of the negativity coming out on the news each evening makes my blood boil particularly as some of it is inaccurate and disingenuous.

Hope I can join in this week.

Great entries all.
Gordon, I was just about to post when I saw your Audi - damn, should have been quicker, so a quick idea.
Yes, saw the opening ceremony, excellent - I said the Queen has a sense of humour!
Great crop circle Josephine.

Some brilliant entries this week. Nick your London underground map was a fantastic idea. GKB loved your picture of the Clock Tower (apparently that's it proper name big Ben being the bell) with the sky writing behind it, I thought at first you'd just posted a picture you'd taken it look so real
