Hello Sjef,
You are right; it was a “problem” for me. The boy (not my son) was a snapshot and it was too difficult for me to complete the body. So I thought that in fairy tales little magician can fly, or not?
I admire very much your great fantasy and also your superb Photoshop-technique. How did you made the spider network? Wonderful and perfect!

Glad you got that through Joey. I was drifting to some Lords of The Rings too, as do not really know Harry potter. Great work! I had to deviate after these entries, but at least that is fun, but took a lot of limited time. I should have had Dali in there... err my surreal stuff Artwell
Tolkin used to live in same street where I lived for awhile.
J. K. Rowling. lived close to me when I was in ROI Cork. I won't give details where she lives, peace and privacy she should have. Great place.

Re: Challenge 414: Potions class
Hey Linda!

Of course in fairy tales everything is possible, even flying half bodies. And in Photoshop everything is possible too which you so nicely have demonstrated.

I could have made my own spider webs but that's a whole lot of work. On the internet you can look for special brushes that does the work for you in one click. For the Friday Challenge I take this freedom.

Special for you (and maybe others) I have changed my 'website' a little.
Click here: http://members.casema.nl/sve/photoshop/photoshop.htm
and you see a Photoshop page with your 'avatar' on it. Click on this graphic and you can download the Zip-file with the (15) spiderwebs.
Your brushes files have the extension .ABR. So the spiderweb brushes have also the extension .ABR. After you have unzipped the downloaded file, you can load this brush in your Photoshop.
• Click in the Brushes options bar on the little triangle (see the green arrow);
• Now click on the next little triangle, or in CS6 the little star (see the red arrow);
• Click on 'Load brushes' and browse to the place where you put the .ABR-file (the spiderwebs), select this file and click Load.
Now the spiderweb brushes are added to your standard brushes.

Now for a tip:
The lines of the spiderwebs are sometimes very thin. And if you have to extend some lines (on a new layer) to fit the web in a particular space, a one pixel line is often still to thick. To 'narrowing' a line or other object I often use the filter Other»Maximum (1 pixel) and immediately after this, use the option Edit»Fade Maximum. Now you can exactly adjust the thickness of your (spiderweb) line.

Lots of succes Linda!
O, and you can always get your standard brushes back with the option Reset brushes. And... if you see no web at all after selecting a web brush, push your [-key a few times to reduce your web brush.

The first version was too blatant. The floating pill bothered me.

Sjef, you are the greatest! Almost the whole night I constructed graphics with your cobwebs! Wonderful! I am very happy with your spider’s webs and hope that my know-how is enough for use it in photomontages. I thank you very much. Haben Sie tausend Dank! Mille mercis! Je vous embrasse.
