Greetings Anna, quite a coincidence with the axe, best make sure it 's firmly mounted, wouldn't do for it to run amok. An amazing and colourful collection you have, my daughter thinks the bed is slept in, I think not? Should your little cleaning maid have the time, she would be welcome to flick her duster around here. Have a good day.

James

Thanks for sharing your image Anna.

What a lot of great imaginative entries and I laugh out loud with several. Just on the last I saw, great idea Ben "We are off to see the wizard of Oz" and well executed IMHO.

I don't know much about dusting, I just vacuum/Vax, just like I use a dishwasher, but hope the birds keep it clean.

Re: Challenge 420: Tickling Tooquilos
Ant Snell was the first to decorate Tooquilos' room this week, and he was obviously inspired by the lush curtains - he's turned it into a harem, full of voluptuous concubines. A great fit, and the woman lying on the bed works especially well: but who is the sinister figure leering in through the window? He's especially well made.

I don't think this is really Linda Eckert's ideal living space - but she has added an MGM-style tiger roaring through the mirror. Show us your room instead, Linda, and we'll see if we can spice it up for you!

A few extra objets from Garfield72, including an African mask, a Buddha, a carved statue and a teddy bear - well lit from the side, matching the position of the window. The Buddha is too straight-on, though: he needs to be rotated to match the angle of the wall.

A splendid entry from Sciteach, full of action - those kids jumping on Dad lying on the bed are all perfect. What impresses me most is the attention to detail: the helmet being worn by one of the kids, the skewed angle on the mirror, the reflection with the number set backwards, and the knocked lower bauble on the chandelier... a terrific piece of work, Steve, and certainly good enough to earn you a title. We haven't had a science teacher here before, so I think Professor Pixel fits the bill. Keep up the good work!

Some great additions from Eggbox, including a new portrait on the wall and what appears to be a canoe paddle in the window. I like the kid in the koala suit on the bed - how very appropriate!

Plenty of extra content from joeysala, with a load of dolls, peace symbols decorating the walls, as well as a new portrait (is she from a Tim Burton film?) and a row of Victorian miniatures. Just one thing: those peace signs need to be in perspective - not just tilted vertically, but sloping downwards to match the angle of the top of the picture beneath them:

THere's an awful lot going on in James's entry, with a fight between the bow and arrow and the suit of armour, a couple of playful teddy bears on the bed, and a kangaroo bounding past the window. Even the clock in the reflection is spinning. The bow's movement and bending are especially convincing, James - great work!

Some good additions from maricliff - I especially like the HotChiPs cover framed on the wall. You're right, though, the reflection is incorrect. If we can see the front of the girl's head straight on, then we should be looking at the back of her head in the mirror. Although, from this angle, it's unlikely we'd see her at all.

Deborah Morley has turned Anna's room into a repository of old material from Friday Challenges gone by - there's the bronze bear, the stuffed dodo, and the collapsed bear I photographed in Denver. I like the extras - the Wright Brothers plane, the dinosaur, and the chap in the suit of armour. Good fitting!

A really funny entry from Frank, who has placed Anna in the scene - dressed appropriately, of course, with a genie coming out of her lamp. I like all the extra artefacts, too. Just a couple of points: should the genie perhaps be a little translucent? And, er, does Anna's head seem to be much closer to one shoulder than the other?

Glad to see tooquilos has had a go at her own room - with a fairground horse, a splendid sun and moon decoration, and ingeniously closed curtains (although I suspect another photograph may have been inserted here). Is this an extended birthday gift list?

A thoroughly remodelled room from Mariner, with new pictures on the walls, a moved suit of armour (like the rose!) and there's Anna, asleep in the bed. I like all the additions (although I'm not sure Anna will), but a couple of points: that wall facing us needs to be at a slight angle, rather than face on; and that's a really, really tall room! Try adding a ceiling for extra realism.

Ben Mills has taken Anna's Forum title as his theme, with the cast of The Wizard of Oz cavorting behind the bed. A great shot of Anna lying on it - what a good fit!

It seems Josephine Harvatt has decided that what Anna really needs is a butler - and a remarkably hunky chap he is too, fresh from the gym. Is it my imagination, or are his clothes held together with velcro?

Not sure Anna would agree with powerslave's assessment - somehow that giant TV doesn't quite match the ambience of the room. I'd tuck it behind the suit of armour for a touch of extra realism, though and perhaps slant the whole thing up a little on the right.

A random assortment of objects from Jota120's imagination, including a budgie, a chicken and a couple of dolls. I like the painted eyes on the wall, and is that a still from Lord of the Rings in the mirror? Watch your fuzzy edges though, Trevor!

What fun. Thanks, Anna, for sharing your room - it'll be interesting to see what you do with it next.

Thanks, Steve. I did think of adding a ceiling but decided against it. I'm surprised you didn't criticize the spotlights, which gave me a lot of trouble and are still not entirely convincing and I'm quite proud of the sword blade which I created from scratch.
Anna, it took ages to get you into bed!

Thanks Steve -- agree that head needs to shift a bit left , tried some translucency on the genie but didn't like the effect due to the busy background. Made the changes and added a "note" with your comments to the PSD for future reference.

Re. the peace signs; gotcha, and thanks for the visual. The portrait is of another boudoir doll - I've always wanted one on my bedroom - gave them to Anna instead!

Thank you to everyone for your entries. A few very good ideas here which will go on the wish list Josephine, the butler is at the top of the list. Does he clean as well as bring chocolates? lol And Joey - thank you for the boudoir Doll lol

Also thank you Steve for your comments. I was quite flattered that you thought I used a different pic for the room , regarding the curtains. I used the same image that you posted on here (didnt even use my original larger image) as I wanted a even playing ground. The curtains were an image I found on Google and changed the perspective and colour of them.

Thanks Steve! I am honored to be Professor Pixel! I'm having a great time learning here, thanks for the feedback. Makes me realize that when I grade my students I need to give that meaningful feedback.

Re: Challenge 420: Tickling Tooquilos
Thanks again Steve for your feedback.
> "fuzzy edges". The angel, she is meant to be ethereal, not quite part of our reality apart from when needed. After I posted the image not quite happy in the overall context, but time moves on and no time left.
All the rest was done with pen, very sharp and with Mask tool. For the budgie had to blur him etc for depth of field. Maybe I could have left sharp, but I love taking photos with depth of field .
Good point.

For my > random assortment of objects, its only dream land and having a bit of fun. I do have bit of surrealist influence from when I was young with my art. Quote from Wikepedia: Surrealism. Philosophy. Surrealism is based on the belief in the superior reality of certain forms of previously neglected associations, in the omnipotence of dream, in the disinterested play of thought. It tends to ruin once and for all other psychic mechanisms and to substitute itself for them in solving all the principal problems of life. I don't know about that, but it does rattle the cage.

As part of my degree (Physics) we had to study 10% a very different area to our main subject (balances life). I chose psychology and analysis of dreams. Different. Freud and Jung's analysis of dreams is what I chose to study and caught my imagination. .and thanks to Jung my paper at the end was quite weird maybe, but got good marks and really enjoyed it.. Stop.

>is that a still from Lord of the Rings in the mirror? Interesting idea, so say yes, , but this image is from jousting re-enactment, and its not just boys and toys, its girls and boys. I thought she looked a bit like Anna and obviously won which is more interesting!
