SORRY. Photobucket appears to be playing silly games, when i click the above link, instead of the desired image I get a page dump of Photobucket. I've tried reloading several times, no joy. Please, how dose it open for others?

Hi James,

It would appear that Photobucket has just 'improved' things as I now get exactly the same thing happening to my links ... but, strangely, not every time. On a MAC, if you Ctrl - click on the image you can open it in a new window. Don't know how it would work on a PC but I reckon right-clicking on the image will probably be the way to go.

Trevor your "Stealth" is both menacing and atmospheric--you got it right!

Mariner you convey realism perfectly!

Anna very entertaining!

When I'm impressed I'll say so!

What? Where? I didn't see anything move...

James, I opened with Mac. Saw all the trouble first, but second time, fine. Nice work.

Thank you Michael!
You have great image. Fits in really well. I got a bit scared with the film you reference...(?)

Thank you Gordon. still a problem. Tried Imageshack which has uploaded normally. Photobucket need to get their act together.

No troubles here with Imageshack James. Your challenge appeared nicely (centered) against a black background in Firefox version 19, against a white background (not centered) in Chrome version 25 and the same in Internet Explorer 10.
PC - Windows 8 - 64 bits.
I have no Imageshack account.

I can't get an image to show up... I guess that I will never understand this forum's procedures.

Supposed to be a bit of a homage to Jeff Wayne ...

Hi Sjef, Thank you for your interest. I have Imageshack as a standby (needed this time) Photobuckets improvements to their site are something of a disappointment.

Re: Challenge 442: The Martians are coming!
What a lot of great entries This was a bit of fun.

Just a couple of comments...

Thank again Deborah. I like the perspective, depth and drama with your entry.

Emy, I could hear the scurrying away but maybe the atmosphere is too thin unless this earth(?).

Interesting Vern. I only just found out there was new release of War of the Worlds, and more, I only associated with Rick Wakeman, but guess should give more credit to Jeff Wayne. (my friends liked it, but just me, not so great for me)

Maybe the reason, I read the H.G.Wells original book when quite young. I enjoyed the inspired imagination, both visual and sound for me! Books do that. It can be quite disappointing to see a film adaptation of something you have read, but I am not negative, just interested on others' views.
