I agree Artwel, and what you can do with the human face is just extreem (that almost invisible Mona Lisa-ish little smile) and your version of 05.08 in Steve's book Art & Design in Photoshop: http://s1229.photobucket.com/user/Artwel/library/PShop/ADPS_Ch05?sort=2&page=1 All unique stuff!! ![]() |

Brewell beat me to it! What a lovely looking girl - it seems a shame to change her (as brilliant as the entries have been) - anyway here is my offering - a punky nature fairy with a flowery 'fro ![]() _________________ I'm not really bad - I just draw that way |

I also agree that Olivia looks great with a shaven head - but she has certainly got some great new hair styles to choose from. ![]() |

Re: Challenge 466: Hair today
Good selection of entries and they work well. I agree she looks fine with shaved head and saves a lot on hair products & maintenance. I know! ![]() My quick attempt... Updated: Oops I'd left some artefacts and probably some more, but had to go away. ![]() |

Anna...great video! Is that a real program, or did you invent it for this challenge? _________________ "Imagination, not invention, is the supreme master of art........" Joseph Conrad |

Re: Challenge 466: Hair today
Thanks Sjef, but this is not just based on my photoshop but chalk/PITT drawing I made. Very quick. Just three "colours" black graphite + burnt sienna, natural white (chalk) and natural sienna which gives the colour. Just earth colours and they will last for very long time. I had to merge the two..... photoshop all the way then .... ![]() |

Re: Challenge 466: Hair today
A dramatic style from Garfield72 started this week's entries, well blended into the head. It's a strong look - I think she might like it! Sjef has gone for a detailed scorpion shaved into the already-shaved head - are there razors fine enough to do that level of detail? A neatly removed nose ring, but I don’t thing that earring matches her features! A classic style from Sophie - but remember that hair has bulk! You have it much too tight on her head, which makes her face look as if it's too large for her head. A neat approach from Ben Mills, with a very tidy, swept-back look. But I'm not sure she'd go for that 1970s eye shadow... Splendid work from Frank - what a dramatic style this is! Absolutely appropriate for her extrovert personality! A lot of hair from Ant Snell, with a complex suit and hat to match. But is her head now too small for the body? Detailed styling from Linda Eckert, with a very appropriate look. Is it too soft over the forehead and cheek? Perhaps a few stray strands of hair are needed? Some rather fine horticulture from brewell - a good look. Does it require much watering? Haute couture from Vibeke, with a very stylised design - very neat work with that fine hair - and a new body to go with it. I see you've given her a little cosmetic enhancement as well... A complete makeover from Artwel, with new eye makeup and a new shirt. Very well fitted hair - I like the way it tucks behind her ear. A touch of soft-focus Hollywood glamour from tooquilos, with a very effective look. A fantastic set of extra choices in the animated version - and what a great tool that would be! You should go into iPad app design... A spiky look from Mariner - very 1980s! And great fitting of that fine hair over the face, expertly achieved. But is the head a little too small for the body? A beautiful hand-drawn effect from ahmedalij, with nicely detailed features - and a variation in colour in the second entry (although I think I prefer the first). Good to see you back, Ahmed. A neat schoolgirl look from Emy, with close fitting hair: but is the hair too far back on her head? Something about it makes it a little awkward, its hard to pin down. And yes, I did get Olivia's permission! I think Olivia would thoroughly approve of Josephine Harvatt's entry, especially with the new purple lipstick and the added skin decoration - a very complete image! Classical neatness from Deborah Morley, perfectly achieved - I like the way the hair falls over the face, it's most appealing. And thoroughly convincing, too. A couple of 1920s looks from joeysala, both suiting Olivia well. I like the spider/cobweb combination! A close-fitting style from Jota120, and one that suits the shape of her head perfectly. Most appealing, Trevor. And a dramatic second entry - good chalk effect! Glossy hair from Marlcliff, with an interesting shadow over the face. But can you take a head-on hair style and apply it sideways like that? It seems michael sinclair doesn't approve of Olivia's facial adornments - ouch! And do you really think she'd make a good nun? Very entertaining images this week. And many thanks to Olivia for the use of her shapely head! |
