As I'm doing your 3D book Steve I figured I'd try this challenge in 3D as well.

From where I come from , pull crackers are self exploding fire crackers tied to a string that extends from one end of the cracker to the other and it pops when you pull on the string ..( or pin one end to the door and the other to the jamb , ring the door-bell and run ! )

Happy new year everyone

Re: Challenge 485: Pull my crackers
First to pull the crackers was ahmedalij, with a splendid Maertian landscape featuring the lander from a few weeks ago. I like the distorted crackers - not sure about the motion blur on those in the air, though.

Beautifully turned crackers from GKB, perfectly angled with some cringeworthy puns and miscellaneous Christmas additions. The angles seem a little odd, especially with regard to the wine glass, but the sentiment is there!

I like James's festive animation, with Disney characters who settle on the kids' hands. Great expression changes, too - relatives of yours?

An exuberant scene from Vibeke, showing a fun family celebration; particularly good to see the source material used to assemble it all.

Much grumpiness from Josephine Harvatt - and no wonder. Sprouts are the worst possible cracker filler. I mean honestly, what is the point of sprouts and how did they muscle in on everyone's Christmas?

A terrific entry from Mariner, featuring Wile E Coyote finally - finally! - getting the best of Roadrunner. I always cheered him on. Excellent!

A nicely cracked cracker from tooquilos, and a couple of elegant hands pulling it. I like the shaking out of contents in the animated version, with the Cinderella references - especially the glorious coach snow scene! Magical! And excellent to see the images you used, too. What a lot of work!

Some splendid characters from the year's Challenges falling out of Ant Snell's cracker - and that's a mighty fine Christmas present you've got there. Ho ho ho!

Expertly modelled crackers from Frank, with much use of bump maps to create the texture. I like the random distortion, too, which is particularly well achieved. Not sure about the viagra!

Festive fun from Garfield72, whose cracker prizes include a copy of Pocket Photoshop: Smart Objects and - good heavens! A miniature me! Am I 3D printed? A very tasteful combination.

Very fine distortion and opening from joeysala, with some colourful M&Ms spilling out. As Christmas dinners go, though, it does seem somewhat unbalanced, diet-wise. Perhaps a glass of bubbly to wash it down?

A last-minute entry from Deborah Morley, just sneaking in under the wire - and the cracker is remarkably neatly nestled into a scene of post-prandial mess. Good choice of wine!

Great entries, everyone, and a happy new year to you all.

Happy New Year, Steve. I too always cheered him on. And the bulls, not the matadors. And the Indians, not the cowboys. And I still do.
