What fantastic entries so far - love your pub Ben - it looks a lot like my local micropub except we have a deer's head on the wall (he must have been going at a cracking pace when he crashed)

I have to say my local doesn't double as a laundry either

Not find pictures of me and no time to make it. As I work in the automobile (guess what name) I put my head on this car workers picture

I couldn't figure out why there seemed to be some blur on the seated version of my brother-in-law so I went back and checked the version I had uploaded and sure enough it was the wrong one. I really must learn to delete the versions I don't like.

Re: Challenge 500: Show me what you've got
too good a challenge to miss.. alas no time to take selfies or spend much time cheating..
However, I remembered a series of pictures of myself taken by a friend a few months ago in the Mediterranean. No change of clothes I’m afraid, and as they were taken as exchangeable options for an art project, the only interaction they allow for is between the viewer and the various mes...

Re: Challenge 500: Show me what you've got
Well, This one would have also been a Photography challenge as well as a Photoshop challenge, because I have almost no pictures of myself and those I do have would require scanning first. However, my sister and brother-in-law are big digital shutter bugs. They are always taking pictures of themselves and they often use me to make small corrections to their photos. Unfortunately, they are mostly the standing-in-front-of-something-looking-strait-at-the-camera-and-smiling variety. I thought I might have to use another totally unrelated scene I found by searching on Google Images and just replace heads. However, I was able find a few candid shots and I got inspiration from one of them. In this scene at least one of the instances of my sister and/or brother-in-law is original to the image. I'm sure Steve will be able to figure out which one(s) are original to the image.

Oh, and as a condition for using their photos for this exercise, I am required to create a blog of my progress through Steve's book. I have linked it back to the book's website. I hope Steve doesn't mind. My sister feels it would be a great way for me to generate some freelance work.

Re: Challenge 500: Show me what you've got
It's been a spectacular week for the Forum, as many of you rose to the challenge and posed yourselves in some truly splendid scenes.

First to multitask was GKB, appearing six times around his own dining table - and good to see you've dressed for the part, Gordon. I had visions of Sylvia silently fuming in the next room as her Sunday lunch went cold, but then I noticed that the joint of beef disappeared behind the candlestick but didn't make it out the other side, which led me to assume that both it and the bowls of steaming vegetables must have been added afterwards. Some really nice interaction here - but surely my mug gazing down at you would put you off your food?

A great scene from Ant Snell, with eight characters grouped around the pool table. I like the chap with the wig especially, although the couple playing table football - especially the one with the cool shades and hat - do draw the eye well. Very neatly arranged, a lot of action going on here.

Dazzling work from puffin31939, who not only had to contend with the vagaries of moving shadows and the sun coming in and out, but also managed six complete costume changes. Excellent interaction, and a real sense of a fully populated scene. Tremendous attention to detail: the figure on the far right is even casting a shadow over the legs of the next one along. A faultless job, Angela - you should be really pleased with this one.

Eight Vibekes fill her kitchen, with a great number of cooks preparing a meal. I like the costume changes, and the excellent poses; but they do all seem to be ignoring each other rather. Interesting that you should have three identical copies of the same magazine!

A little off-topic from tooquilos, as Anna's head appears in an Addams Family portrait. Good to see so many versions, though, and I like the sign-writing hand in the animated version. Great moving cloud effect!

A very coherent entry from Nick Curtain, as a group of Nicks come together to give the car a good polish. It's a very effective montage, which is actually made stronger by the lack of costume changes. That's certainly a well-polished car - nice work.

Far too many Steve Caplins in my own entry, and the arm wrestling doesn't quite come off - the fingers of the chap on the right need to wrap around more. Some inconsistent lighting, too, as the sun kept going in and coming out, and it's too obvious that some of the shirts have been recoloured because I couldn't be bothered to change them. And what on earth is so interesting in that tree?

"I don't have many pictures of me," said Deborah Morley - but that's the whole point! Set the camera on a tripod and put it on a timer. Nevertheless, it's good to see Richard enjoying himself in quite so many guises, and in so many locations.

I enjoyed Frank's entertaining entry, with a couple of helmeted Franks getting ready for some hot car action. I like all the onlookers, particularly the one loading a box onto the back and the one with the fishing rod leaning on the car. And the recoloured shirt in the foreground works well - you should really buy a shirt in that colour, it suits you.

A fine array of Steve Macs neatly avoiding each other in the workshop, with a flurry of activity as - presumably - another staircase is built. A great set of clothes and poses, all seamlessly montaged together: it would be good to see a couple working on the same piece, though, or perhaps carrying a plank between them.

A tremendous pub scene from Ben Boardman, as a whole army of Bens populate what seems like a rather entertaining bar. The one perched on the stool on the far right looks a little precarious, and I confess to being a little perplexed by the array of women's underwear hanging from the beam. The chap in the foreground doesn't seem to be enjoying the view as much as I'd expect, though.

I laughed out loud at Josephine Harvatt's entry, mainly because of the fabulous expression on the face of the model. The preliminary sketches on the wall work really well, and the whole image works beautifully. Hilarious, Josephine, a great story there.

A work of great complexity from brewell, as he appears no less than thirteen times to reconstruct the Last Supper. All the poses have been artfully matched to refer back to the original, and the array of bread, plates and condiments on the table gives it a real sense of continuity and scope. A fantastic story here, told with great skill.

An interesting technique from Linda Eckert, as several of her heads are combined into the supermarket queue. The only one that jars a little is the cashier, whose face doesn't quite fit the head - but then I imagine it's hard to take a photograph of yourself from the back. I like all the different expressions, though, and the interaction between the shoppers.

The black and white treatment of Garfield72's entry gives it a great retro feel, and the two guys in the foreground work very well in the scene. The one on the left has a head that's too in focus for the body, though; a touch of Gaussian Blur would help a lot.

I can think of few sights more scary than a field of michael sinclairs marching towards me, but this is a very accomplished fitting of heads onto bodies. Technical point: if they really were all Michael Sinclairs, they'd be surely marching in different directions.

I like Eva Roth's backdrop, and the assembled Evas have been artfully arranged in the scene. When the lighting is so clearly from the side, though, flipping images horizontally can make the shadows come out on the wrong side - you need to watch that!

A personal challenge from srawland, as her kitchen scene features one original sister and brother-in-law, and three added-in extras. And it is hard to work out. I'd guess from the lighting that the one with the calendar is real - the tomato chopper looks convincing, but the chopping board is half on and half off a table mat, which seems unlikely. (Edit: sneaky! You've reposted and moved the mat!) As to the brother-in-law - the one at the back?

Excellent work, everyone!
