I have to confess that, having always thought it a bit stupid and gimmicky, it did the job perfectly! Maybe now I will take it more seriously and find proper uses for it. Oh ... and .... I am not sure Gaultier would be very flattered ...... ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 526: The celatone
Thx Steve, I was going for a "looking through a futuristic celatone" would look like. The sphere is the "disbursement lens" which takes my photo and breaks it back down into its original stock images which are spherized around it and small red lines presenting the area they used for. The other elements are photoshop actions you could possibly use within such as device. The text was used as I thought it looked kinda futuristic. It says. HTCIP Photo Disbursement Lens. Guessed I missed on this one with trying to explain. Cheers D ![]() |

Re: Challenge 526: The celatone
Thank you Steve. It was very fortunate that the bishop was situated in exactly the right position to place the celatone. I must say I was quite pleased with the outcome of the Solar System. The entire scene was created by me in After Effects. The only outside additions were the planet/moon textures. Once in AE I was able to spherise them and keyframe their rotation. The sun was made up of fractal noise which I added a turbulent effect. The stars were also made entirely in AE. Saturn’s rings also glisten if you play the video in HD. ![]() _________________ Dorothy: "there's no place like home!" |

Re: Challenge 526: The celatone
Dear Steve, many thanks for the correct English expression of “Und sie bewegt sich doch”. I felt, that the layout of the text on the statue isn’t correct. But the letters are craved from the monuments artist (see attached original photo). If I draw vanishing lines, all point in different directions. May be, that the photograph added the text with Photoshop??? … A very tricky situation. ![]() |
