Re: Challenge 669: Extinction local lingerie
A cheeky entry from Frank, with some local lingerie being extinguished as the girls cycle past... a very well chosen pair of cyclists! And the shadows place them neatly in the scene.

Sensitively placed jets of steam from DavidMac, with very nicely modelled underwear being blasted off in the process. Is that a bedsheet in the background? Or more clothing?

Ben Mills seems to be one butterfly short of a brassiere - but a well selected trio nonetheless. Your politics, however, seem to be 40 years out of date...

It's that man again... Josephine Harvatt has Mr Trump in an inflammatory underwear situation that the extinction device is failing to extinguish. Does the children's phrase Liar, liar, pants on fire make it across the Atlantic? Or indeed the Pacific?

A nicely composed entry from Ant Snell, with some choice pieces of liberally strewn underwear. Remember that if you place a sticker on a dark surface it needs to be darkened to match - I'm thinking of the one bottom right. And what does 100% off bands actually mean?

A most intriguing image from srawland - seems to me it's the person inside who has been extinguished. I was going to write "all becomes clear in the animated version" but it's still a little baffling... pretty to watch, though, and I like the Bizet.

A rakish angle from Mariner, suggesting the swell of the ocean: I like the slight tilt on the hanging lights, but perhaps they should be swinging in different directions? I also don't like the floor either. But I do like the way you've built the bottom of the hose reel, and opened the door to the deck.

Our first bit of male crumpet this week comes from Gerard, a somewhat over-decorated chap with an intriguing tattoo above his left nipple. Is that his bra hanging from the handle?

A cheery drag entry from Jota120 - is he a pantomime dame? Nicely chosen, nicely positioned. I like the extended second entry.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit that I don't actually know the meaning of "Extinction local lingerie". I tried using Google Translate, which came back with "Extinction local lingerie" as the translation. Then I tried a Google search for the phrase in quotation marks, which limits the search to just those three words together, and it brought up only this forum. Is that a Googlewhack?

We need a francophone to enlighten us! Where's Linda Eckert when you need her? David Mac, can you oblige?

Thanks Steve.
I don't know either, so I guessed at "Fire hose. Domestic (supply). Laundry (supply)."

A friend had a fancy-dress birthday party. She was Micky Mouse. He, her partner, was Mini Mouse.
(I was Captain Edward J. Smith, maybe connection with my 2nd entry...)

It's whatever you want it to be. I would say clothing fits best.

The word local in French can mean a room. It is usually used for technical rooms. Our apartment has a room called the locale technique. It contains the boiler and electrical distribution, LAN hub, cable and satellite boxes, etc.

So in this case I would translate as extinguisher for laundry room. Not guaranteeing accuracy but I am 90% sure.

Re: Challenge 669: Extinction local lingerie
Thinking about again, this lingerie can also mean linen. So this could mean extinguisher for linen store. In fact that is probably more likely.
