Thanks, Frank, Michael, Anna, and Sara,

I saw one entry where there was a lack of realism in Trump's presentation, and it occurred to me by reducing opacity and using "Hard Light" I was able to get him more into the bell. The displacement map was unsuitable on this occasion.

This is not an entry but an illustration of what could be done

Re: Challenge 676: Give the man a bell
This week's first bellringer was Gerard, who has neatly inserted the bell between the two ringers. A very good fit, although the angle of view is slightly off - we shouldn't be able to see the bottom of it. But I'll forgive you for that as you've taken the trouble to engrave my name on it.

A good gold entry from Ben Mills, with the bell in the process of being struck - I like the long reflection of the hammer head. Slightly odd viewing angle, but it's certainly close. A very funny second entry - and for those who are baffled by it, the knitted character is from a 1960s British children's TV programme called The Clangers.

A vast, rather grand bell from Frank, neatly engraved with the HotChiPs name. I like the coloured-in bellringers - but, since the bell has two people to ring it does it need the internal clapper as well?

A chaotic confluence of clangers from Linda Eckert, with a load of ringing bells. I like how the ringer on the right has lost his hammer and is now pulling the bells' strings - very neat. And the snow falling off the bell is ingenious.

We haven't seen sciteach here for a while, and it's good to see him back with a really funny entry - big muscled bell ringers, tiny triangle. Simple, but very effective!

James Arendell is living up to his satirical title with a political entry - an EU flag-wielding ringer about to demolish our Houses of Parliament. And at a time when Big Ben is silent, too. How ironic!

Fine work from DavidMac, with a bell that exactly matches the ringers in terms of angle, colour and position. I like the way the broken-off section has fallen. Not entirely sure about the noise inside the bell; is it there because bells are, well, noisy?

A glorious entry from michael sinclair, who is not only on-topic but clearly inspired this week. I'd been going to comment that the only thing that needs fixing was the reflections, but I see you've fixed those in a late update. Terrific animations, a really strong piece of work.

Neatly relocated bellringers from tooquilos, perfectly placed in a belltower (although you could, perhaps, remove the original bell clapper beneath the bell). I like the topicality of the animated version, and the swapping of the ringers works well. When the bell enlarges as its struck, though, it should still be behind that front support! But the sequence of fitting everything onto the plane is nicely done, and the face climbers are an ingenious solution! And I love that we can see them ringing the bell through the stonework at the top of the bell. As for the soundtrack... where on earth did you find a symphonic version of Pink Floyd's Time?

A touch of politics from GKB... love the bolts in Trump's ears! Now there's a bell that needs striking.

In an interesting twist, srawland has replaced the bell... with a turkey. Is it Thanksgiving already? I like the timer in the animated version, and those are some neatly added flames. Perhaps the ringer could move the turkey up and down?

An oriental entry from our Far East specialist, Jota120 - and that's a fine bell, very neatly inserted between the two ringers. As always, Trevor, your eye for perspective is spot on. Good work!

A fun entry from lwc, with one of those fairground Test Your Strength machines. Nicely inserted! And a great shadow. Good to see you back, it's been a long time.

Astonishing work from Mariner, who has built a third bellringer viewed from the back - a painstaking job that must have taken hours to complete. A great bell, too, with a splendid view from that tower. Excellent!

Great entries this week. Well done all.

Thank you Steve.

Fyi, background, not really related : Its set in Qiao Family Compound located in Qi County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, and is 42 km (25 mi) away from Pingyao Ancient City. It's also known as Zai Zhong Tang, whose owner Qiao Zhiyong was a famous financier of Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911). Raise the Red Lantern film directed by Zhang Yimou and starring Gong Li was made here (~1991). It is an adaption by Ni Zhen of the 1990 novel Wives and Concubines by Su Tong.

Thanks for kind comments about matching. Took a little doing. As for the 'noise', I've never actually stuck my head inside a bell but I rather assumed it would have the natural sand texture of the mould.

Thanks Steve: Yes ,the internal clapper is there for when the two ringers are down for maintenance - at least that's my story.

Thank you Steve. All the things you mentioned were glaringly obvious after I had posted but….
The soundtrack is by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Ive had the CD for maybe over 15-20 years now.
