Re: Challenge 702: Dali's bedroom
First to decorate Dali’s bedroom was lwc, with an impressive mural; I particularly like the way the clocks drape over the bedspreads. Even more going on in the second entry, with a much fuller background, and Le Sommeil is a good fit over the beds. But I’d recommend using the Displace filter to make that image roll over the folds in the fabric:

I like DavidMac's use of the two cutouts on the wall behind the bed, and that’s a fine painting on the drape. I haven’t seen the cookbook - are the recipes suitable surreal? Do they feature a lot of lobster?

A feast of surrealism fro tooquilos, with a magnificent collection of the bizarre and the fantastic. Love the twirling moustache in the animated version - and when the whole room comes to life, it really comes to life! Looks like you had fun with this.

An interesting set of floating objects from srawland, with nicely lit 3D objects. But shouldn’t the textures wrap around them? They seem a little flat. Great walking movement on the inverted butterfly in the animated version - nicely done.

A fine selection of elements from Vibeke, who has clearly also followed the Dali trail. I like how you’ve incorporated Dali into this; is that Gala sitting opposite him? What’s happened to her knee? Very well chosen objects.

An extraordinary manipulation of the scene by dwindt, entirely in the spirit of Dali: I really like how you’ve modified the beds and especially the canopy over it. The hole in the ground is splendid, and I like the trick way the tree goes behind the curtain. This really is very fine work indeed, beautifully accomplished.

A very surreal image from Jota120, with a vast crucifixion hanging over the bed. Could it perhaps do with a shadow? That bed on the right must be a little uncomfortable to sleep in, though.

Meticulous work from Mariner, recreating the room from a different angle - and wholly in the right spirit. I like the subtle indications that the view in the background is actually painted on the wall: hints such as the way the light change when it turns the corner, and the shadows of the bedsteads on the surface. Very subtle, Michael!

A very entertaining week.

Thank you for the comments Steve. It's amazing how much concentration goes into a piece like this. Even more hats off to the likes of Dali.

Did anyone notice the ducks face on the lamb's head?

Well done everyone. This was a difficult one. Thanks for the comments Jota and Strawland.

Thank you Steve. What a great challenge! Surrealistic art allows you to break all the rules, doesn't it?

Thanks Steve.
I was thinking of possibly a shadow to, and thought for awhile but couldn't justify it in this case..... metamorphosis...... leaves it ambiguous ->surreal
Three major light sources, window, spotlight on crucifix and illuminated/illuminating meta bodhrán. Plus room internal reflections.

Thanks Steve, I enjoyed doing this one, really must get back into it.
It's not Gala's knee but her handbag.
