I think this is possibly the best I have ever seen from you!

Not just the animation, which is lovely, but, more importantly to me, the wonderful light and atmosphere. Stunning work!

And not a Fuse figure in sight .........

Ant yours is just fabulous!! Josephine, that is a beautiful collection of libraries.

I can't quite decide which words to use ... 'glorious' will have to make do for the moment.

David, Gordon..thank you so much. I loved doing this one. A subject close to my heart.

With Fuse, I rarely use it these days. Seems to have gotten quite stale and stagnant. I realise it is in Beta stage but in my opinion its heading to the Omega phase.

Well, I for one, sincerely hope so. Animated shop dummies have never really turned me on.

A shamefully scrappy half done entry - the library at Terry Pratchetts Unseen University - all inconsistencies in scale, perspective and lighting to be attrributed to the fact it is in L-space and thus not part of the normal universe

Re: Challenge 741: The museum library
The bar was set high this week by a touch of genius from Ant Snell - not just a great idea, but beautifully executed, right down to the new label. This had me laughing out loud. Brilliant, Ant!

The story continues with DavidMac's excursion into Game of Thrones territory. Great fire-breathing dragon! And a nice composition.

A magnificent setting from lwc (courtesy of Josephine’s link, featuring that spheroid again in place of the library’s globe. Not sure why John Cleese is there, though - and is he carrying a sheet of glass? I like the camera setup in the animated version, and the new blue room. Not sure about the curious ladies.

Some literal brightening from srawland - well, it is what I asked for. I really enjoyed the surreal animated version - haven’t we seen those dancers before?

A highly textured overhaul from Frank, with a few extra readers thrown in too - perfect angle on the woman on the right well chosen. I like all the signs; personally I might have left the texture off the ceiling.

A fantasy entry from tooquilos, the library bestrewn with astronomical and mystical objects. Your version certainly has more atmosphere! Beautiful typography and design of the intro to the animated version (what is that font?) I like the twinkling candles, and especially the swirling contents of the jar. Terrific treatment of the symbols in the book, and a great laboratory. So that’s how spheroids are born!

An “unfinished” entry from Mariner - really, Michael, all it needs is a shadow in front of the woman. A remarkable makeover and relocation, though, with a finely judged horizon. And to answer your earlier question: I love visiting museums, and didn’t realise it was second rate until after I’d got in there.

A note from Josephine Harvatt explains away the “inconsistencies in scale, perspective and lighting”, although frankly this looks really good to me - it is, after all, a fantasy room. I enjoyed the orang utan. The only real inconsistency is your spelling of “attributed”.

Thank you Steve.

The font I used is KOCH RIVOLI from Urban Fonts

I am mortified! Thanks Steve for politely overlooking the many other egregious errors

Thanks Steve. Average work I thought - so it's good to see you being polite about it.

Re: Challenge 741: The museum library
Thanks Steve,

Cleese has been wasting away on my hard-drive since last July. I was inspired by DavdMac's "A rainy day problem" here I used Cleese to animate David's great idea, just to experiment for fun and practice and never planned to do anything with it.

I actually spent more time on the library windows and view than anything else... lol!

Thank you, Steve. The dancers first appeared in Challenge 725: Halfway up the stairs. http://vimeo.com/293488643

Tony did the same character, Harold, in this one. Unfortunately, Lenore is on the other end of the phone so we don't hear her.
