The Holy Spirit

Note to Steve. Before you quite rightly point out that my priest is buried up to his chest in the floor I would like to point out that raw distilled spirits give rise to illusions and sensations of this nature .........

Thanks David, as far as your priest is concerned I assumed he has already had a few nips from the jug and is crawling back for more.

It’s almost a self-portrait David, only I haven’t got quite so much hair.

Thank you Josephine.

I had trouble with the speed of the light ray effect, and have been trying to work out something that I like better, so...

Dear Steve, could you give me please your new private e-mail address (the address c@plin.com doesn't work anymore).
I have a small problem to solve with you.
Thanks for your help.
Linda

If it's causing you moments of indecision don't move them.

Sun rays don't unless they are filtered through something moving. Could be some very tall trees outside the window?

I'm thinking it's the fast moving cumulus and stratocumulus clouds and the light through the denser glass along with shifting electric fields. "Sundogs" perhaps?

Re: Challenge 742: What the font?
After the clouds moved by and the light rays stopped moving, the somewhat dusty atmosphere within the old church made the airborne dust particles show up much more clearly...

The most interesting thing in this exercise for me, is that the file size for this 'dust particle' animation is nearly three times larger (15+MB) than the 'moving' light ray animation.

Re: Challenge 742: What the font?
Actually, the explanation is quite basic. The light ray animation is only 28 frames. The particle animation required 75 frames to get any degree of smoothness into the effect. Too few a number of frames and you get more of an 'off' or 'on' effect without the fading, and the movement becomes too 'jumpy'.
