Cracking stuff again, Anna, with a hilarious ending! I have done something similar this week. Just a coincidence.

Im with you on that one Loyd. I was thinking to myself earlier when I was looking at the images this week. We all see the same thing but we interpret it so differently. Fascinating to see where people's mind go. David's image of the elderly ladies on the bench..that is just so endearing..In a lifetime, I don't think I could of thought of that. Just wonderful.

Fantastic!

Loyd, David, Michael and Tom..thank you so much. I loved doing this one. I found it quite cathartic going around creating virtual chaos!!

David, I made the base by combining 4 different 3D elements and having them work together. I also made the laser/shoulder gun, also using a few elements and then it was just as case of adding keyframes for the rotations.

Certainly looks like it!

Sometimes it's fun just to let good taste and judgement take a backseat and just go for it!

Terrific. How you manage a family and a job on top of producing what you do each week leaves me quite dizzy ........

Anna - How come you missed the opportunity to introduce a lead zeppelin into the carnage!?

David - I love the Tenniel illustration - very well matched.

A humble offering - my challenge this week is how to get away with doing the least amount of work - or as Terry Pratchett says: "The maximum of milk for the minimum of moo"

With apologies to Harvey Thomas Dunn 1884-1952 for the background

I know Epstein didn't intend it, but this figure elicited a great deal of sympathy from me.

Lovely Sara and nicely done.

Now I know it's far easier to say than to do, especially as it would need to be animated, but I would like to suggest that a butterfly shadow on the nose would transform this and give real contact and proximity between the idea's two main elements.

Looking at all that broken rock he's certainly been a busy fellow!

Mariner, I keep looking at your machine gunner and I am completely amazed by how cleverly you have re-worked the torso ............ just to rotate it sightly to its left! It's not a flip - it's far more complicated and subtle!

I can't imagine many of us indulging in quite such an astonishing level of perfectionism or with quite such an eye for detail. Truly humbling.

Well, it has been a long time and I am very rusty, amazing how quickly you forget how to do things.
Have been looking on the forum most weeks and can't get over the high standard of work, but thought I would just try an easy one.....

Thank you, David.

The Butterfly is a video clip. I don't think I can add a realistically moving shadow. I'll ask Anna if it's possible.

Or maybe just at it for a very long, lonely time.

David, when I read your very generous praise of my work I feel glad that I put in so much effort. If only one of you very advanced amateurs finds the artwork that good then I am satisfied. The secret is that I love what I do and am constantly looking to improve myself.

Per DavidMac's suggestions and Anna's help, I have upgraded my animation. To see the changes, please revisit: http://vimeo.com/323657400
