Re: Challenge 761: On Ilkley Moor
Thanks David. I was fortunate to find that fellow with the chisel and mallet early on. I went with the 'HTCIP' gag in the first entry, but this alternate version below is slightly more on brief. "On brief", I like that expression! If I ever used it in Oklahoma no one would know what I was talking about...

Lovely Anna!

A little bending of history with what, unless I am mistaken, appears to be Pompeian Egypt.

Excellent Josephine. And more or less "on message". That's what I am also trying to achieve.

The ghost of E.M. Lancaster carves out his spot on the oftentimes eerie Iilley Moor.

OMG! for a moment I thought Trevor had returned from the grave.

Have you been channeling him, Josephine?

Re: Challenge 761: On Ilkley Moor
My opinion is that Mr. Bencke was vastly overstating the importance of the battles. I do not see the parallel. Persia was a great empire and a modern power for the time. What the Spartans did holding them off at Thermopylae was heroic. What happened at Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift was due to arrogance and aggression on the part of an imperialistic, industrialized power concerning an indigenous people. It's not like the Zulus were invading England.

A big thank you to David and Tony for their voiceovers
