In the end I did go political with this. Not my finest and it's cruel rather than humorous.

On the other hand the gentleman in question merits it.

One of those challenges that brings out the most diverse, hilarious, splendid replies! Sadly I’m without a Mac for the rest of the week so will have to upload my early stage / starting point ginseng image..

Yes it really has. Fast and furious. Pity about the Mac. I would love to have seen your Polyginseng! Nice idea.

This is unlikely to mean anything to Americans and Antipodeans but how many of the rest of you remember Dan Dare and the Mekon?

David, it was interesting today when you mentioned the Antipodes. It made me curious to see where was Sydney's antipode. It's located near a town in the Azores called Relva. Looks like a quaint little town with a population of around 3000.

This will mean nothing to Americans and Antipodeans but isn't that Dominic Cummings?

When you are photobombed by your alien adversary!
The original photo was black and white so I didnt even have to colorise anything - how much of a cheat is that?

In my case it's Waitangi New Zealand.

Never crossed my mind while drawing it. But yes. I take your point. Come to think of he and the Mekon have much in common.

I just replied to this and it's vanished into a black hole. Hope I am not about to double post.

When I looked at this my first thought was "How obvious! Why didn't I think of that?".

Because it is a leap of imagination that only looks obvious if someone else thinks of it first.

Very clever!

Thanks David!

When I saw this little creature, the first thing that came into my mind was the old Atari games that we used to play in the early '80s. It was not uncommon to have a few friends around and challenge each other with ABBA blaring in the background. What great times they were!
