It is just possible you may have seen him in one of his other persona - "Sir Les Patterson". Sir Les was always portrayed as an appalling sexist, dribbling, drunk. Although I can quite enjoy Dame Edna, I could never see the humour in the crude nastiness of Sir Les.

Nobody told me it was supposed to be a fancy dress, Josephine.

This week I have mostly been playing with depth maps.

The only media I could find to support them was Facebook so I have created this Friday challenge group (Can be deleted after this week if required).

Yes! The revolting "Sir Les Patterson"! The first time I saw him I thought he was for real.

Mine's a bit derivative. Gordon and Anna: Please keep in mind what Oscar Wilde said: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

I've been feeling sick for the last week with the man-flu, but I couldn't not do one of these as I've already missed so many!

Re: Challenge 786: Josephine's hair
First to enter Josephine’s tonsorial challenge this week was Ben Mills, with a rather tasty blonde wig. An interesting blurring effect - maybe take her little finger out of the blur, though? Josephine, just be thankful he didn’t squeeze you into a bikini.

A glorious Dame Edna Everage wig and glasses from DavidMac, perfectly composited, the colour matching the bluish light from the window. Immaculate, David. And a very interesting anecdote, too. A fun second entry - the extra makeup is very neatly applied. And a very fine feather construction in the third entry.

Clever work from Frank, replacing Josephine in the forum lunch photo with this image - which has also entailed a change of venue. Nice work, Frank, but I am going to have to take you to task on your perspective: with that view of the background, it looks as if Ant is tiny. And a really scary second entry!

A special effects strewn animation from GKB, with truly amazing hair - and the lightning-spitting hands are impressive. Should the eyes be so bleached out with red, though? I think a spot of white in the middle of them would really help.

A towelling wrap and a paint-spattered background from tooquilos - so colourful I’m not even going to mention the missing elbow. (Oh, sorry, it slipped out.) Tremendous special effects in the animated version - I particularly like the 3D paint bowls and the dripping dye. When the towel comes off, of course, she reminds me of a certain Australian lady of a similar age who has a fondness for entertaining hair colours… nice work!

A martial arts entry from Mariner, with perfectly added hair and a rather nicely constructed background. That snake tattoo needs to be slightly rejigged, though, if you’re going to put it on the edge of her hand:

Ant Snell goes the full Santa, with a splendid beard, eyebrows and hat set - and the screaming child in the background really sets it off well. The 3D version is astonishing - what a treat!

A morph image from lwc, which does work well - but why do the eyes move, when they end up in the same place? Good hair, though.

Very pleased to see srawland back, with a splendid hat (or at least, a sort of hat). Is that what they call a fascinator? Fun special effects in the animated version - and the soundtrack is as subtle as ever.

How do you cope with Josephine’s hands being over her face? Replace them with boxing gloves, says Born2Run. Looks like a bit of a Don King hair style there, appropriately. No contest, Josephine would flatten him.

Some images came and went from michael sinclair, thanks to Photobucket playing up - sadly it’s down at the time of writing this, so I can only see this animation that he sent me last night. An extraordinary job of plastic surgery on Josephine’s face, rebuilding it where you’ve taken the hands away - brave man. Michael. And a somewhat terrifying image, it has to be said.

Many thanks, Josephine, for the loan of your face!
