Happy new year everyone!

And to you too. What a clever idea!

Brings back memories of when I was twenty years old. I worked as projectionist at a lovely small London cinema called the Everyman. It still exists now.

What a dapper lot we are!

Yes, and I have made us all look a bit younger. No objections there I hope.

Michael, I have only just caught up with your post. It brought a very silly grin to my face

Gordon, I expect you saw yourself leering at the Hostess. I didn't get that look quite right, the scale was far too small, so I let it ride.

Anna, what a clever submission!

Unfortunately, I have gotten very busy as of late. I don't know how much posting I'll be able to do in the next few weeks. If Steve had not have given us extra time for this one, I would not have been able to complete it. As it is I didn't get to do everything I wanted with it.

A moonwalking moonrat!

Love the spinning arms and legs.

First to fill the castle was DavidMac, with a fine array of dancing police dogs. Great shadows, and I like the fact that you’ve used five different translucent paper hats, rather than duplicating one.

A sexy Santa from Ben Mills, standing on what looks like a carpet of lava. Unless that’s just a friend of Santa’s who’s donned his hat? I like the gloomy nature of the room. But that bed is much too small - she wouldn’t fit.

A tremendous collection of memorabilia from GKB, all neatly packed into the room - and I see that mischievous moonrat is up to his tricks again. I was really hoping the Trump baby would fly into the fireplace, but no such luck. And - gasp -is that my face on a Boris baby lookalike? Fabulous, Gordon!

A number of shady characters from Ant Snell, including a rather bizarre Santa hanging from what appears to be a bloodstained egg. Nicely done. My only issue is with that sheep’s head over the fireplace: It needs a strong shadow on the left to stop it floating.

A magnificent party courtesy of Mariner, with some truly elegant clothes and you, David and Gordon all looking remarkably dapper. Ingrid is looking on approvingly. Tremendous lighting and shadows - and reflections, of course. Splendid.

A film show from tooquilos, making good use of the empty room. I like how the changing images in the animated version reflect on the chrome lettering, and it’s great to see all your entries flashing past. What a busy year you’ve had.

A variety of dancers from srawland, all caught mid-pose. But there they are flexing their limbs in the animated version - really well done, Terry Gilliam would be proud of you.

Happy new year, everyone.

Good morning Steve and welcome back.

I think that one of your first appointments for 2020 might be the optician; it is actually Boris’s face on the balloon

Hats and shadows were key. Fun to do, if not very creative.
