Only time for a late quick one this week.

I wish I had thought of that!

Interesting how picture libraries can define our images. Would I be correct in guessing that the typewriters facing the wrong way stems from the difficulty of finding a photo of the back ..... any photo, let alone one that will fit your perspective.

Just shot my own theory down in flames ....... PixelSquid has a couple.

Yes the typewriter came from PixelSquid as did the bookshelves and desks. I debated which way round I should use the typewriter and settled on that particular angle as it didn’t really look like a typewriter from the back.

I only came to this week’s FC late today so didn’t really have time to refine the image much so I just went for the joke.

Re: Challenge 794: Nose job
First to treat the monkey this week was Ant Snell, with a comic disguise, complete with false nose. The really clever thing here is the way the original nose has been turned into a tongue - ingenious choice.

A psychedelic entry from DavidMac, which works surprisingly well. I particularly like the recoloured eyes, and the nose acting as a chimney. A raunchy second entry, almost a homage to Ben Mills: I especially like the startled expression on the monkey’s face.

A funny entry from lwc, with grafted-on feet. I like the timing of the blink, which adds a lot of life to the image.

A conversion into Donald Trump from michael sinclair, using a similar monkey - not my monkey, of course, it would be expecting too much to use the original image. Very nicely done, though; I like the mouth twitch.

A beautiful legal monkey from Mariner - or, as DavidMac points out, a pro bono monkey. An almost startlingly attractive image.

A really funny nose job animation from Frank, with a great soundtrack and an ingenious reforming nose progression. The tears are especially well drawn. Very entertaining.

A rather fine Venetian mask from tooquilos, and a noseless monkey hiding behind it. Beautiful typography in the animated version, with a muttering and very aristocratic monkey. I enjoyed the music!

Nine monkeys from GKB, which I assume are part of an infinite line. Oh yes - there’s the sign. Can’t help thinking they’d have a much easier time of recreating the Complete Works of Shakespeare if they turned their typewriters around. (Small typographic point: the word WILLIAM in your image is a good indication of why swash capitals are never used in all upper case.)

Thanks Steve. To be honest I was a bit lost with this one. Glad you liked them.

Actually, if you skip forward to the infinity point you will find that the monkeys eventually discover proper typography practices and correct the error
