Wasn't sure where I was headed with this one at the start - did a complete turn around from start to finish. Quite remarkable entries folks. Agree "Butt Coin" ![]() ![]() http://vimeo.com/398311375 |

Relative to Frank's entry I just discovered that, derived from Scottish Gaelic, in Ireland and Scotland a funeral song is called a Coronach. ![]() _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

I had a concept of creating a virus in Cinema 4D but couldn't quite think of what to do with it ... and then this thought popped into my head. I make absolutely no apologies for the video as I am so angry at the almost total failure of certain individuals to address such a serious problem in favour of their own narcissism. http://vimeo.com/398626273 _________________ Always remember that you are unique - just like everyone else. |

Wow Michael! I've been waiting to see how well you would extract and clean up the bier. You far exceeded any of them. I suspect it is less a clean up than a complete rebuild on the wheels. love the dog. Nice touch. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 797: Fancy a bier?
Glad you like it David. Yes, it was such a murky photo that I had to blow it up to 2400x1800 and completely rebuild the lot, especially the wheels. I added the dog at the last minute to add a bit of interest to an otherwise pointless picture, not to give the finger to Steve's cart. |

So you would think that being sent home I'd have more time. However, one of my cats decided this was a good time to get really ill. I had a better idea but didn't have the time. This quick one will have to do. ![]() _________________ I'm still learning. |

Re: Challenge 797: Fancy a bier?
First to cut out the bier this week was DavidMac, with a gloriously lit Corona coffin with Death walking beside it. A great background, too, the Free Beer lettering matching the lights perfectly. The only thing that slightly jars is the array of bottles on the coffin - something not quite right there. Too close to the edge? A touch of the infra reds from GKB, with terrific sound effects. The opening coffin works really well (although I can’t imagine any carpenter would make the lid with the planks cut horizontally rather than vertically). A curiously two-dimensional Dracula, with an entertaining swivelling action… very spooky! And a really strong second entry. Absolutely agree with the sentiment expressed here. Powerfully presented, Gordon. Celestial lighting from lwc, with a fun smoke effect added. The toilet roll is a suitably legendary addition - but was there really no way to get its angle of view to match the bier? A beautiful churchyard setting from tooquilos, with lamps neatly illuminating the low level. A really funny animated version, with toilet paper as the new currency. The way the coffin floats into the grave is brilliant. And yes, a very apt message. I see Frank has noticed that it was St Patrick’s Day - complete with flying horse delivery of beer. Some great effects here, such as the rainbow, the smoke and the lightning, and I like how the horse weaves between the curious standing rocks. Very entertaining. One suggestion: if you make the foreground and background move at different speeds, you get a much greater sense of depth when panning across the landscape: ![]() Perfect perspective matching of the bier with the background from Mariner (although some of those jars could do with having their tops flattened). Great attention to detail - love the dog - but do watch out for your tendency to oversaturate colours, particularly the woman in the pink dress (I don’t think it’s possible for dresses to be that bright in real life). Sorry you had to clean up the bier so much. It was quite dark in the church. Delighted to see srawland making an appearance again - a neatly cut out bier, with one lonely toilet roll. If you had time, adding a reflection would have helped a lot. Sorry about your cat, hope he recovers soon. |

I thought so. It's very hard to guess the angles right. Can you tell me how to measure them? I'm quite good at measuring.
Sorry, I just love bright colours. I know it's wrong but I just keep on doing it. I will try to remember next time. Thanks Steve. It's the criticism, not the praise, which I value the most. |
