David,
Schroedinger's Piano?

An obscure Austrian atonal music where a note may be simultaneously sounding and silent at the same time, until the lid is opened.

Really surprised you didn't know that Gordon ..........

One of your best to date Anna. Great atmosphere and very natural movements.

Re: Challenge 819: Camden Rescue
First to be baffled by this week’s Challenge was DavidMac, who has prised open Schrödinger’s cat to find both a live and dead one inside. Great job finding pianos in the shape of cats for the second entry! And brilliantly held by that fireman. The gag of the other one stuck up a tree/lamppost is brilliant.

A nicely animated big cat from lwc. I like the man wanting to film the event on his phone - but why is he facing away from it?

Nautical rescue from GKB, with the piano clearly weighing down the back of the boat - clever. I do have to take issue with the way the water wraps around the bottom of the staircase, though - what about the railings nearest us? A fine animated version, although that version of the Maple Leaf Rag is painful on the ears.

A topical gag from Ant Snell, and - yes - I did have to make a last-minute dash for Eurotunnel to avoid the quarantine. I like the idea of the emergence exit, and that’s a very neatly applied mask. Why are the people coming out of the door so distorted, though?

Musical rescue of all kinds from Vibeke, with a few cats thrown in too. Is that couple at the top of the stairs dancing, or fighting? I like the way you’ve crammed in all those musical instruments in the window. Good stuff.

It’s possible srawland might have been just too subtle for me… Cat Stevens? Or just cool cats? Or am I missing something clever?

Camden market goes back to its roots in Mariner's cleaned-up image, complete with a new staircase and new signage. Some excellent detailing here: the reflection in the rebuilt window, the new open doors, the dogs, the guitarist, the new sign for Oscar Pink, the gargoyle on the roof - and of course the cat skins plastered around the new cat culling centre. Now if they wanted the guts for violin strings, that would make sense…

Cats aplenty from JimH, with Supercat flying to the rescue. I like the group of fearsome rats, and the range of felines involved - especially the one stuck in the rubbish bin. Very cute!

Big cats from tooquilos, surrounding a piano that really is in need of rescuing. I like the standoff between the lion and the mouse in the animated version, although of course you could have used Zez Confrey’s Kitten on the Keys.

I found the piano/cats by accident while looking for cats being rescued from trees.

Re: Challenge 819: Camden Rescue
Thank you, Steve. Not Cat Stevens. It's Thelonious Monk.

Thanks, Steve, Yes the couple on the stairs are dancing, it's a photo from a square in Beijing.
Sorry, you had to cut your holiday short. Stay healthy.

Laziness, he was the only character with a phone I had that was already cutout.
