Very nice entries David , love the lighting and of course the racetrack - no fear of another one like that showing up . Overall nice work.
Lovely Anna - like the animated flowing water
Quick off the mark Loyd -nice
I too had no idea whatsoever where to take this one and Loyd had already done a race car so I just wandered and stumbled into the dark hoping something would fall out of the tree:

The gargoyles are a splendid touch!

The foreground figure seems to be commenting on the demise of the Church at the expense of the ladies.

Finally getting to grips with repairing and restoring those windows.

Re: Challenge 845: Historic Le Mans
When I first saw the challenge I thought of a photo from 2018 of people outside a registry office in Regensburg, Germany. Turned out to not be suitable, but the photo before it was perfect for the windows. The little dancing girl is from Cagnes-su-mer 2003. The musicians and diners from Montpellier 2003. Girl in the window from Saint Jeanet, France 2008, The woman with the back to us from Cinque Terre 2005 and the lady on the bike from Bamburg, Germany 2018.

A Euro Image! Not sure Boris or Nigel would approve!

I thought that might appeal to you.

I'd love to claim that I spent hours assembling it tube by tube but I can't. I found two 3D models that I matched to the photo's perspective.

Almost, but not quite, cheating.

Lots of hard work evident in entries this week! I thought I would do a night time scene by way of a change

Welcome to the forum Doug--you know what you're doing.

More good work by David, and her down under has again done some beautiful work.

On topic and "singin in the rain". If yer going ta do a puddle, then do a big un. I have blended the Lemans building into a scene from Rouen.

Re: Challenge 845: Historic Le Mans
I can't help feeling this image is ´targetted' Michael.

So I shall feel free to comment.

The perspective in the left side, particularly the ground floor, is a very poor match even allowing for what Mariner described as it's 'wonkiness'. The vanishing point is way too high.

The rain and cobbles, on the other hand, are just terrific! The moving distortions of the cobbles is especially impressive. A lot of work went into this! Well done.

Love the theatre Josephine. Must have taken some serious searching to find something to fit.

Re: Challenge 845: Historic Le Mans
David I, of course, defer to your superior grasp of perspective; however, I am at a loss on how to correct it: it looks OK to me.

Therefore, I have enclosed the original Rouen scene (complete with "street clutter") plus the Le Mans cut-out building. Please illustrate, exemplify, or demonstrate the corrected perspective.
