A bit of silliness to get around the more tedious stuff.

Sorry to point it out, but it's so rare to see an 'oopsie' from you!

Re: Challenge 868: Close the car
I've long admired Morgan cars of any age and model, it's that relative number of nearly $120,000 that has always held me back.

The closest I ever came to purchasing a British sports car (other than a Jag) was in about 1963, a 1948 MG TC. They were asking $450.00. I thought it was beautiful and I still like the design. Giving it a test drive, I loved it, but... it was so slow, it also wandered all over the road requiring constant attention. I will always remember that test drive. I was driving a Chevrolet Impala SS at the time and just couldn't transition into something so slow.

Of course today, I wish I had it to sell... I made a quick search and found this MG TC located in Norman, OK, USA. The funny thing about that, is that the car I test drove was at a dealer in Norman, OK, USA, it could very well be the same one.

Had no idea where to start with this one, but surprisingly enough, it wasn't that difficult. I think it needs a lot more work but pretty happy with the end results. Dodge and burn were my friends for this challenge.

The funny thing is Loyd, I can see you driving that car through the plains of Oklahoma, wearing a cap, goggles, scarf and of course, leather gloves, tooting the horn and waving at passing cars.

Re: Challenge 868: Close the car
PLEASE NOTE 1. after a horrendous reconstruction and new wheels (for animation) this is the "original" car. 2. this has also been a two-day job; therefore--given the huge amount of time--I feel entitled on this occasion to use a pre-existing backdrop (The Tanker!)

3. if you don't give me the Gold Star, I'm gonna blow you all up

PS £85 grand is a lot for a car! I wonder who could afford a car like this?

A THREE FRAMER!

Very nice Anna, you always choose the best music too.

I haven't been able to come up with anything even remotely interesting for this challenge, but you may have given me an idea...

No cap, no goggles, no scarf, but I finally got my car at a price I can afford... thanks Anna!

Re: Challenge 868: Close the car
Lots of interesting animations.

Anna great! Futuristic visions. A rotating garage and the world's first driverless hover Morgan!

Michael, despite the wheel wobble, one of your best! Very convincing. And traffic officer Caplin is not going to able to pull you over for the classic driver too far forward error.

Very smooth Loyd .... but puzzling.

I don't know you you work your animations but I get the impression that, with the exception of the bird, you have created the entire thing as a still image and 'flowed' the background to create the impression of movement. It's odd because it doesn't extend behind the driver and windscreen. On the other hand, if I am right, then why the dissolve and slight movement on the car. Surely it could have stayed 'static'. I really like this but it poses lot's of questions ..... of which the last is 'is that you at the wheel?'. Looks to me as if it definitely could be.

Good effort, Michael. So what happened to the gloss and reflection?
