David Said: "bit of a problem with the very bleached out end footage and the drone shadow in the same portion "
Thanks David but I think your eyes may have been stretched a bit from the previous scene.

Re: Challenge 891: Digital monks
Could be .....

First time I clicked your link I got straight through to the movie. No problem.

When I decided to re-visit today I get "Video not rated. Please log in to view.".

Logging in solved the problem but I know this is not first time this has happened to some of us on Vimeo.

Excellent video, Frank, with fitting sound effects.

David is right - the aerial beach scene near the end is bleached out, maybe on purpose.

I couldn't get your video until I logged into Vimeo. I have the same "problem" with Anna's work. I just shrug it off.

Great work everyone!

I had just about given up on thinking of anything at all, but finally a silly one popped into my head. When I tried to post it however, I get an "Internal Server" error... maybe it will work later.

Ordered pizza with their new smart-phone for delivery by autonomous vehicle and absolutely nothing can go wrong... go wrong... go wrong... go wrong!

Re: Challenge 891: Digital monks
Thanks Mariner - probably should have left the bleached scene out - I'll see what happens with Vimeo when Anna posts - usually I don't have a problem opening them?

Re: Challenge 891: Digital monks
First to enter the monastery this week was Ant Snell, with some fine digitally-enhanced monks playing a baseball game. The one at the back seems to have been doing some serious weight lifting, too. A very quick posting, Ant!

I enjoyed GKB's converted Apple store, especially the slogan on the window. The symmetry of the scene adds greatly to the sense of calm. Nicely judged.

It’s full-on virtual reality for DavidMac, with beautiful lighting and an expertly kitted-out monk wearing his VR headset. I particularly like the glow on his face from the candles. And the portable gaming chair in the second entry is well realised. A great setting for the gaming in the third entry, but I’m a little confused as to what can be casting the shadows of those candles. Or are they just grey stripes on the backs of the chairs? All is redeemed in the fourth entry, however. Felonious Monk indeed!

Frank's drone-flying monks take us on a splendid tour of Tibet - ingeniously combining real drone footage with montage. Straying into Ben Mills territory here, Frank! I like the women throwing stuff at the drone. And the appearance of the police car at the end is perfect.

A splendid animation from michael sinclair, with a waving arm holding its new 5G purchase. But best of all is the facial change - the closing eyes, and the very slight alteration to the smile. Immaculate, Michael. One of your very best.

Good to see Zoltar from some months back showing up in Josephine Harvatt’s entry - and the idea of these monks seeking advice from a fortune teller is brilliant. And what a good punchline!

I enjoyed lwc's self-driving pizza truck, with its spinning wheels and flashing light. The slight movement of the monks’ heads is a bonus. Maybe the phone screen should flash as it overshoots?

Terrific pinball action from Mariner, and it’s fantastic that you’ve adapted the original monks to play the game. The rebuild of the monk on the left is very fine indeed. Great work.

The two original monks may not be the focus of dwindt's entry, but they’ve been very neatly rebuilt and separated in the background. What are the two seated in front holding, though? Can’t work out those devices.

Fun this week. Thanks, David, for the starting image.

Yes. They are straps passing through the holes in the chair. Because I knew what they were it never occurred to me that they could be shadows. I can see clearly now how the confusion could arrive.

Felonious Monk indeed!

I thought he'd appeal to you.
