http://vimeo.com/792845289 I laughed with your party entry. He looks like he's from A Weekend at Bernies! Every entry is brilliant this week. From the sacred moose to sin-b-gon, it's hard to chose a favourite. ![]() _________________ Dorothy: "there's no place like home!" |

Michael, as you know I will always give credit where credit is due, and those have been many; however, the girl is an astonishingly bad Cut-n-Paste. No way is that realistic--especially considering the low light levels. ![]() |

Not really finished, but I decided to post, just to show that I'm still here. ![]() _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

Re: Challenge 939: A miserable monk
First to cheer up the monk this week was GKB, with a wild party scene. He still doesn’t look happy, despite the accoutrements – perhaps he didn’t realise it was a formal event? He’s certainly having a better time in the second entry, with his improvised selfie stick. He still looks rather anaemic, though. Even surfing in the third entry doesn’t cheer him up! What is wrong with the man? I enjoyed the fourth entry, with its skydiving monk – but wouldn’t his robe balloon as he falls? ![]() An animation from lwc swaps the bowling ball for a football, the dog for a sheep, and adds – a moose! It’s been ages. A clever way to turn his head to the front, although he does lose his nose in the process. Fun. Maybe DavidMac can’t cheer him up, but he can explain the mark on his forehead. Although judging by the colour that pigeon needs to see a vet. I enjoyed the bowling balls in the second entry, but surely the motion blur should be going the other way? Isn’t it his right hand that’s throwing? A religious festival from Ben Boardman seems to have done the trick – he’s positively beaming! And good to see he’s got some colour back into his cheeks. The procession will trip over that dog, though. He does fit perfectly into the orgy scene in the second entry, doesn’t he. A pastoral idyll from Frank, and the ability to put down his bowling ball – it seems that’s all the monk needed to cheer up. Nice work. (On a minor technical note, rainbows only work when the sun is behind you.) Give the man a mop, says Josephine Harvatt – and while we’re at it let’s have an advertising panel that neatly covers up the troublesome bowling ball and dog. You’ve really perfected the art of cheating! Very cute. A very merry monk from michael sinclair, using our chap’s head. Good work on the face, and I like the St Bernard behind him. A pair of bowling teams from Ant Snell, extending the bowling ball metaphor – with cute team names to match. He still doesn’t look very happy, though. Its looks like a silent disco from tooquilos, and he’s finally looking happy. A pity the headphones are straight on: this is where PixelSquid really comes in handy: ![]() Great to see how well he fits into the animated version, both in the church and on his travels. A fun video! We’re seeing the dark side to Mariner in this perspectively challenging entry. The monk may be cheered up, but he does need to learn that no means no. He also needs to get some sheets on that bed – and that’s no way to treat a lady. She could at the very least be defringed. A rare visit from Vibeke, with a monk who has got a bit of a smile on him. Perhaps if he wasn’t still gazing beatifically at the heavens? I like the garden setting. A good week, everyone. |

Very nice images everybody. I'm still rendering mine. The new government scheme of turning the power off is folding small businesses and hobbyist 10 to the dozen. On top of the incompetence, we face a massive increase for half the power. I think I'll have to pull out the paints and pencils again. ![]() _________________ The grass is greener on the other side of the fence because there is more $hit there. |

Okay, got it now, only works when the sun is behind the photographer. A picture I took of my wife and a friend at our campground - sun at my back. ![]() |
