What a great idea Josephine.

It's just another balloon...

Re: Challenge 942: The spy balloon
Frank... beautifully done and most enjoyable. I have a question and I hope you don't take it as 'nitpicking', but I am genuinely curious. At approx. 00.52 seconds in, the text on the side of the blimp/balloon is reversed as shown in the attached screenshot. It should read from left to right. Is this because of a limitation in the software, or simply an oversight?

Mind you I know nothing about 3D or video software... I am constantly struggling to find ways to get around the many limitations of the gif animation software that I use.

Re: Challenge 942: The spy balloon
Thanks Mariner.
Loyd, Thanks and you are correct, very observant. Yes, this is an oversight on my part, probably brain fatigue at this point. I had added the Made In China as an afterthought and this created the opportunity for error.
What we should see on the rear view is the "M" and not the "na". Will attempt to correct.

Re: Challenge 942: The spy balloon
Thanks Anna.
Loyd - I corrected that sequence -(see updated replacement) - Thanks again for pointing that out
The problem was in part created by the fact the balloon is a 2D object meaning I had to attach the text and parent it to the balloon for each sequence . I also had to build the rear view myself as no rear views could be found.
Note: - the missile is a 3D object so all material and text stayed with it in perspective although it did require some inverting in the materials to get it to display properly.

Re: Challenge 942: The spy balloon
I am astonished by all the wonderful, and often unexpected, entries in a week where I couldn't work up any real enthusiasm.

Terrific!
