Re: Challenge 944: City fish
Thanks Mariner, David, Michael S.
Agree with David's remarks above.
Lovely work David and yes a lot of work.
At first I looked at the image and was going to pass but the name of the game (Challenge) is to gather and hone your PS skills to breathe some life and character into a somewhat static scene.
Hence the production of a montage or composite.
Thanks Steve for presenting such a forum with it's varying challenges.

Re: Challenge 944: City fish
Thanks Frank and Mariner... that darn moose shows up a lot when I am totally failing to create something that is suitable for the overall premise of the challenge. I did try to hide him though.

That's excellent David, and thanks for the ID of the main character, I would have had no idea of his identity.

I am afraid I failed to spot the moose until Frank drew my attention.

Ha... I doubt that I would ever have thought of that.

Great one Gordon, a fish shop I would avoid - where the fish eats YOU !
Good selection of sound track.

That's one way to get out of working nights, but something tells me that the owner's insurance claim may be viewed as suspicious...

Re: Challenge 944: City fish
Dodgy insurance.

Anna that's a most unusual take and it's lovely.

This is another completely literal minded entry.

As you know one of the things I like best is to use 'lighting' to give atmosphere and conviction to a composite and to unify all the different elements from different sources.

There's a lot of that gone into this one. So I thought it might be interesting to post the basic 'raw' composite, just as the elements came from the web, and before any matching adjustments and lighting have been done.

Thanks to Photoshop London for a couple of the background extras ..... (Oooops ... sorry .... not allowed any longer ...... we have to call them crowd artistes nowadays!).

Sorry Frank, I have been meaning to say that I think your lighting on this one is quite exceptional.

Re: Challenge 944: City fish
I've already complimented Frank on this one, but I couldn't agree with you more Gordon. It's not only very accomplished but, for want of a better word, there's something wonderfully gentle about it.

Re: Challenge 944: City fish
Thanks again David and Gordon.
Nice one Anna
David - great job on a very busy fishing pool/ lovely lighting as usual/ lots of work here
Mariner - fantastic almost 100% rebuild, like the various colors, flowers, etc- certainly a lot of work and attention to detail here - your wife like mine must be a Photoshop widow

Thanks, Frank. Yes, she is.
"Come and see my latest picture", I sometimes say.
"I don't want to see that crap", she usually replies, "When are you going to sell one?".
I don't have an answer to that.
